Very excited to share with you that we’ll be hosting some standards groups @rock_coffee_house on the first and third Friday of every month! I’ll be leading a house band and occasionally rotating group of musicians on the first Friday, and we are hoping to leave some space for people to host their own groups on the third Friday as a continuation of our work @grnroommusic. Hope to see you on your lunch break!

Starting off this Friday with:
@jazzbirdy 🎸
@benlangerweida 🎹
@jas0_pes0 🎷
@gav.drums 🥁
@emiliano__v_ 🎻 by @jazzbirdy

I’ve been very blessed to be surrounded by such incredible peers and mentors during my studies. Unfortunately, there are far too many of them for us to all fit on stage, but a few will be joining me in my master’s recital towards the end of the month. So nervous! Details below:

HAPPY NEW YEAR! 🌱

2025 was truly filled with so much growth. We encountered many challenges this year, but despite all odds, we’ve learned to readjust and explore what it means to continue promoting live music and jazz in our community.

This year, we plan on partnering with @centerfortheartseaglerock (CFAER) to continue our live shows with a regular community music series. Here, we will also begin hosting our jazz education workshops for students in NELA and surrounding neighborhoods, in an effort to promote accessible, affordable, quality jazz education to youth.

The photos are from CFAER’s Holiday Open House concert ❤️ THANK YOU to all the amazing musicians who performed, staff who helped, and community members who attended. We saw so many friends and family in the audience, and we’re so grateful to bring the music back home to Eagle Rock.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! We couldn’t be more grateful for you all. Stay tuned for more in the new year 🌱

Excerpt from yesterday @the_jazz_bakery with AJ Reyes

The Peacocks - Jimmy Rowles (arr. Jazzbird Molina)

What an incredibly special opportunity to open up a beautiful night of music. Nicole McCabe’s quartet was awe inspiring! Thank you to @danielrotm for the invitation, organizing the programming yesterday and for giving players in the community an opportunity to showcase their work!

On that note, this performance marks the end of the first year of my master’s program @csunjazz. So thankful to have met so many incredible players like AJ through the program, and congratulations to all those graduating in the coming days!! See you soon 🌱
