Happy New Year! I’m Jazmin, and I am excited to announce the launch of my new business, Legacy Scripts ✍🏽 @legacy.scripts

Legacy Scripts is dedicated to writing thoughtful and compassionate obituaries to honor loved ones and showcase their legacy. Many funeral homes don’t offer obituary writing services and the task is left to the family. During a loss, bereaved families already have tons of things to do, and we want to lift a burden.

I want to give a big thanks to my mom for giving me the idea and encouraging me. She told me to do this 7 months ago, but I kept ignoring it until God called me to take it serious recently. So I will look to him to order my steps through this process and keep him at the forefront.

I am elated to start this journey to allow families to choose and trust Legacy Scripts to honor their loved one the CORRECT way 💐

THANK GOD FOR GUIDING ME & MY PATH.

I am now apart of a small percentage of black women with a MASTERS degree. I took the risk to move to Michigan to pursue a degree and just to get a complete change of scenery. I’m super grateful for the people I’ve met up here and the experiences I’ve endured. 365 days ago I was still in Atlanta, very nervous about what I was getting myself into. But l conquered it & I’m super proud of myself. 👩🏾‍🎓

I want to say thank you for my HBCU, Savannah State, for giving me this opportunity to further my education at Grand Valley. Super grateful for the collaboration. I’m grateful to pave the way for many other students in this program to get their masters at one of the top 3 schools in Michigan. IT IS POSSIBLE! Though the landscape from a HBCU to a PWI is very different, you will adapt and learn so much about yourself, others, and different cultures.

I DID IT AGAIN. & I am NOT furthering my education.
