Measure HH would increase Pleasanton’s Hotel Occupancy Tax from 8% to 10% on July 1, 2027, and to 12% in July 2028, generating an estimated $2.8 million annually to support our community once fully implemented. I’m voting YES on HH, and I hope you’ll join me! taken in Pleasanton, California by @jbalch925

Had a meeting hearing about Measure W funding and progress at the Alameda Mayor’s meeting tonight. Then had a laugh with my friend Mayor Gonzalez about yard signs… who do you think did it better? taken in Alameda, California by @jbalch925

Congratulations to Graceway Church on celebrating 150 years of service and community in Pleasanton! 🎉 It was wonderful to be invited to watch the celebration and be reminded of the incredible impact this church and its members have had on so many lives throughout our community. So many of its members have helped shape Pleasanton into the special place it is today. The beloved Balloon Platoon, which has brought so much to our Hometown Holidays parade over the years, is just one example! (P.S. They’re looking for more volunteers to keep this wonderful tradition going! 🎈) Thank you to the entire Graceway Church family for 150 years of caring for others and building community! Here’s to the next 150 years! 💙 #TeamPleasanton #GracewayChurch #Community taken in Graceway Church by @jbalch925

What a beautiful afternoon this past weekend celebrating Diwali with our community in Ruby Hill! 🪔 Diwali, the Festival of Lights, celebrates the triumph of light over darkness, good over evil, and hope over despair. That message feels especially meaningful here in Pleasanton following this summer’s Little Fire, where we saw the strength of community. Thank you to everyone who organized this beautiful celebration and for the warm welcome (and amazing food)!✨ #TeamPleasanton #Diwali taken in Ruby Hill Community Park by @jbalch925

Such a heartwarming Chat with Jack today! It’s hard to put into words how meaningful it was to hear firsthand the personal stories and experiences of some of our residents. I can’t thank them enough for their openness, trust, and willingness to share with me. Pleasanton is an amazing community, and it’s the people that truly make it special. We all add to the story, the fabric of Pleasanton. Another reminder of why I love this community and why I feel very honored to serve. #teampleasanton taken in Vic's All Star Kitchen Pleasanton by @jbalch925

What a great morning at the Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department (LPFD) Fire Expo! 🚒🔥 Great to see our firefighters in action through live demonstrations, connect with our Police Department, and learn more about how we can prepare ourselves, our families, and our community for emergencies. Emergency preparedness is really essential as we prepare for El Niño. Learn more at https://www.cityofpleasantonca.gov/emergency-preparedness/ A huge thank you to our LPFD firefighters, police officers, and everyone who helped make this event possible. We are very fortunate to have you serving our community! ❤️ #TeamPleasanton #PublicSafety #EmergencyPreparedness Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department Pleasanton Police Department taken in City of Pleasanton Fire Training Center by @jbalch925

Stopped by Bollywood for Life in Pleasanton to meet the team, see their studio, and record a little video… after a lot of laughs, we got it recorded (even with my two fractured ribs)! 😂 I’m so impressed by the community they’ve built in this studio. It’s truly a place to gather for so many families and friends. There’s a sign in the studio that says, “Dance as if no one is watching.” Pretty great life advice! ❤️ Pleasanton is so special because of its people. Thank you for the warm welcome, the laughter, and your strong endorsement of my re-election as Mayor. Your support means so much! PS - got some great take out after too! #teampleasanton taken in Pleasanton, California by @jbalch925

I’m honored to receive the endorsement of the Pleasanton City Employees Association (PCEA), AFSCME Local 955, in my campaign for re-election as Mayor. PCEA represents approximately 200 dedicated city employees, our librarians, police dispatchers, and the people who maintain our streets and parks, provide clean water, keep city offices running, and deliver the services we rely on every day. Their work touches every corner of our community. Thank you to PCEA for your trust and support as we keep Pleasanton a wonderful place to call home. #teampleasanton taken in Pleasanton, California by @jbalch925
