Master 1 brown belt absolute world champ, my day started off rough I couldn’t seem to get going in my weight class and ended up losing in the semi final. I was considering giving up after that, but I’m glad I stuck around did the open. Thanks to all the homies for being there all day.

Two super effective takedown options you can start using right away — clean, direct, and perfect for Jiu Jitsu and submission grappling. JB Bechtloff breaks it down step by step so anyone can apply it.

It was crazy to dive into this academy step away from jiu jit su and have a baby all at once. But I’m definitely better from it, 7 months is a long time. I’m blessed to have gotten through this healthy and I’m really thankful for all the support from everyone around me.

The academy was much more difficult than I anticipated, physically and mentally. I’m glad it is over but I’m also glad that it happened and I’m excited for the next step.

Today we say goodbye (for now) to one of the pillars of B-Team — Coach JB Bechtloff.

From being one of the OG members of the squad, to racking up countless IBJJF titles, JB has left a legacy on the mats that will last forever. He was the very first instructor of our Beginner Program, helping shape the foundation for so many students who now proudly carry the B-Team flag.

Now, JB is off to chase a new calling at the Fire Academy — a path that embodies the same courage, discipline, and selflessness he’s shown every day as a coach and competitor.

Thank you for everything, JB. Once a teammate, always family. 👊💙

Thanks to @fightaesthetic for everything along this journey y’all have been a great sponsor. Also thanks to all my coaches @bteamjj for all the great training and coaching. And of course thank you to @brooky_lyons and my parents for supporting me the most on this journey I genuinely couldn’t have done any of this with out y’all.

It is crazy how it feels like I’m graduating high school or something, I will be starting the fire academy on Monday August 25 with AFD.

I won’t be on the mats for a while but the timing feels right, I’m alright with some time away from the sport it’s been a long road.

But tonight will be my last night coaching at B team for a while so if you can make it I’d love to see you! by @jbear174
