What’s your best advice? Let’s help out some new apprentices👇

Honorable mention: making friends at work is great, but there’s a lot of people who don’t want to be friends with their coworkers.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT! If you smell gas or suspect there is a gas leak, exit the area immediately and do NOT use any sources of ignition (lighter, cell phone, etc) near the leak. Call your local gas utility once you’re away from the leak, report it and leak it to the professionals. Natural gas is explosive by nature and can be dangerous if not handled properly with the right equipment and knowledge.

Finally got an opportunity to film some regulator stuff from above grade! (I’m still waiting on this college building engineer to let me in to see this stupid meter)

Being on-call in natural gas work has its perks and downfalls, but luckily I’ve been outfitted by some of my favorite PPE companies to keep me ready even when I’m out and about! Let me know what I should add to my kit to make it even better 🤝🤝🤝

I’m always happy to chat about more specifics too :) here’s the boring truth about how I became a Fitter Apprentice as a small woman at 21/ a General Fitter at 25!

Sidebar: definitely not talking down on other apprenticeships for “paying to work”. It was just a massive perk to be paid and get a CDL through my company and I wanted to explain the perks of working directly for a utility company. :)
