Last night was one for the books cowbros 🤠🔥💯

Attending the Jakota Wass Blue Hour album release concert was like entering the land and territory of straight Jakota! Some serious Jakota fans and to make it even better it was right down the street from where he grew up, Corley Ranch.
Jakota shirts, hats, matches and even some free magazines!

What a party it was. Morgan Mackenzie took stage first and killed it. Jakota and his band sounded clean, you can hear it at the end of my reel, no edit. Great outdoor stage and location.

That was a fun Country music party 🎶

I'm surprised I made it through the morning 😎😀

Congratulations on the tour guys, Texas is going to love it!

I'm not sure what is more exciting riding in a hot-air balloon, attending the Candy Dance or speaking with Jakota Wass over the month of September, but the dancin' doesn't stop here as we keep the country vibes 🎶

My brim was low and my collared shirt was styled when I spoke with the young, talented and upcoming Northern Nevadan Country music star @jakotawassmusic on his new album release "Blue Hour" with a live concert on Saturday, October 3rd in Carson Valley's own @corleyranch. Born and raised in Carson Valley, Wass writes from the life he actually knows: small towns, ranches, back roads, relationships and the people who shape them. Those experiences run throughout Blue Hour, giving the album a distinctly Western identity rooted in the place he still calls home 🤠

"Nevada is in everything I write," Wass said. This album gave me the opportunity to take those songs into one of the best studios in the world and make the record I always believed they could become. But the stories still come from home."

Following the album release, Wass and his band will continue expanding their live show with the Sounds of 5 0' Clock Tour, taking the Nevada-based group beyond the state and into Texas and other markets. We are beyond excited to feature Jakota Wass Blue Hour album release in this month's Nevada Country Magazine 🔥 it couldn't be more Nevadan than this!

🎈Part 2 🎈

GRBR Media Day

We had one of the longest flights out of all the balloons on media day. Hour and 40 minutes! Used up most of the propane in the tanks, went higher than most and reached a top speed of 20 mph and dropped two digital targets. It truly was a special flight. Thank you Eric!

This was my 7th flight in four different hot air balloons.

To top it all off, I met and gave one of our magazines with the @remaxgold.nv balloon on the cover and took a photo with the remax pilot, Brent Rolland. He loved it 🎈

Even though the weather was rough for 2 days, I accomplished things I never thought I would at the 45th annual Great Reno Balloon Race this year and it was priceless.

It took me 13 years to get to this point.

The hustle, the patience, the people, the care, remaining humble and genuine. It takes all that. And when you reach that point, the sky truly is the limit and you don't take it for granted.. You soak it all up, like a sponge.

That's what real media people do.

The Great Reno Balloon Race (@renoballoon) is the world's second largest free hot-air balloon event, but that's not the only thing that makes it special. Since it's humble beginnings in 1982, this event has been near and dear to the community and the region. Children who attended the event in those early days now have children of their own they bring to the event; some even bring grandchildren. It's a staple for anyone growing up within a hundred miles, and people across the globe are drawn to it year after year. The event has grown dramatically in size from just 20 hot air balloons in 1982 to upwards of 100+ colored masterpieces taking to the sky, including a variety of special shapes. With upwards of $150,000+ people attending the event each year, the number of lives touched by the beautiful spectacle continues to rise just like the balloons themselves.

With a summer preview media day already taken place, @jbizzelman with @renotahoemagazines and Nevada Country Magazine, was able to take the skies with Pilot Sheldon Grauberger @laketahoeballoonpilot and other well-known media faces inside the iconic yellow Balloon that flies over Lake Tahoe! This 10 passenger flight was unforgettable and one of a kind. We will see you again on Thursday, September 10th, a full media day at San Rafael Park for the 45th annual Great Reno Balloon Race 🎈🎈🎈🎈

Not only are we still creating magazines, but we're also creating memories that last forever 💛 thank you to those that have contributed to this month's September feature and to Sheldon for an amazing flight.

Great way to start off a hot summer day in August in the Carson Valley at @thevalleymerc farmers markets where we reconnected with our new advertiser this month @un.nhibited Outpost 🍻 A fantastic way to connect with the local community and small businesses as well as connecting local musicians to play in the BACKYARD 😎

This was pure magic ✨

Had such a blast meeting new people and even reconnecting with old ones. That's what building community is about, connecting, learning and creating.

Such an incredible morning ☀️ I've been attending the Great Reno Balloon Race @renoballoon since 2012-2021 apart of a balloon race team and we've even placed second and third before. I've flown in a balloon I think five times now. But this was the first time I attended as a media person representing @renotahoemagazines and @nevadacountrymagazine 🕶️🕶️

The stage was set bright and early for the 45th annual event. You're probably thinking wait a minute it's not September already.. this is a late July summer preview media day! We were lucky enough to saddle up with the largest balloon on the field (10seater) with our blessing of a pilot Sheldon the @laketahoeballoonpilot 🙏One of the most well known balloons and pilots at the race!

It was the largest basket and balloon I've ever flown in with some fantastic local networkers to accompany us and even the Fox11 news girl @jadenzelmslive was live🎥 at 7:04 am sharp. It was quite the media day experience 💯

And I did it all with my best friend 💛 it was her 1st time up!

Enjoy the ride 🎈See you in September
