On Thanksgiving, it’s easy to pause and feel grateful.
But today is also a reminder of why we practice gratitude the other 364 days of the year.

Gratitude isn’t just a discipline, it’s a response.
A way of acknowledging the One who’s carried us, guided us, and shown up in ways we didn’t expect.

Thankful today.
Thankful always.
Hope you and your family have a meaningful, joy-filled Thanksgiving. by @jblackbirdgood

You are a miracle.

My dad believed that deeply about people.
The kids he coached.
The ones working behind the scenes.
The people we shared meals with.

He paid attention. He spoke with care.
And somehow, people stood a little taller afterward.

When you live like you were made on purpose,
you move through your family, your work, your community differently.

Carry that this year.
Watch what changes. by @jblackbirdgood

Success does not start when you walk into the office.

It starts with how you begin your day.

A workout. A prayer. A real moment with your kids. Breakfast together. Gratitude. A few quiet minutes before the noise begins.

Those things may seem small, but they fill your bucket before the world gets a chance to take from it.

You will still have hurdles. You will still face hard conversations and unexpected challenges. But you will walk into them differently when you have already created a few wins.

Win the morning. Then go win the day. by @jblackbirdgood

My dad taught me the law of the inch.

Most people know it as, “Inch by inch, life’s a cinch. Yard by yard, life is hard.”

But here is what I believe: too many people quit before the harvest.

They look at the whole mountain, get overwhelmed, and decide it is too much. But you were never meant to climb the whole mountain today. Just take the next step.

One disciplined choice.
One hard call.
One more workout.
One more day of showing up.

Keep pounding the rock. Keep doing the little things right. The harvest is coming… just do not quit before you get there. by @jblackbirdgood

Keep showing up.

We cannot control the economy, interest rates, the stock market, or what happens around us.

But we can control our effort.
Our attitude.
Our disciplines.
Our relationships.
Our health.
The promises we make and keep with ourselves.

The results will come in time. But first, we have to get fanatical about the process.

Do the things you know you need to do. Every day. Even when it feels like nothing is happening.

Keep pounding the rock. The breakthrough is built in the work nobody sees. by @jblackbirdgood

Fear of failure can keep us from stepping into the very things we’re called to do.

But overcoming fear isn’t about having all the answers. It’s about knowing what you stand for when challenges come.

If you could choose five values to carry into your biggest challenge, what would they be?

Boy, am I enthusiastic!

Fred had a way of reminding us that a positive mental attitude is a choice we get to make every day.

I love the idea that enthusiasm means being inspired by God. Think about that for a minute. What a powerful way to approach each day!

And when we bring that kind of energy into the world, it has a ripple effect on our families, our teams, and everyone we have the opportunity to impact.

So, how’s your PMA today?

Integrity starts with keeping your word to yourself.

Did you do what you said you were going to do?

You may not control the outcome. But you can control whether you showed up and did the work.

That’s integrity.

What’s one commitment you’re keeping to yourself this week?

One of the greatest lessons my parents taught me was simple: don’t let the highs get too high or the lows get too low.

A big win doesn’t mean you stop doing the work. A tough loss doesn’t mean you stop either.

Yesterday’s results, good or bad, don’t get to determine how you show up today.

Control your attitude. Control your effort. Control your response. Then get back to work.

That lesson has stayed with me because consistency isn’t built on how you feel. It’s built on what you do, day after day.

What if the result isn’t the reward?

You keep showing up. You keep doing the work. You keep pounding the rock, even when you can’t see the progress yet.

Because somewhere along the way, the work starts changing you.

That’s the win.

What are you committed to showing up for today?

#GrowthMindset #Consistency #Excellence #Discipline by @jblackbirdgood

You don’t need a perfect streak. You need a rhythm you can come back to.

Missing a day doesn’t erase the work you’ve already done. The real growth happens when you stop treating one missed day like a reason to quit and simply get back to it.

Build habits that fit your life. Keep showing up. Stack enough good days together.

That’s consistency.

I used to think enthusiasm was something you either had or you didn’t.

What I’ve learned is that it can be practiced.

For me, it starts with gratitude. Being thankful to God for what I’ve been given, noticing the good that’s already here, and choosing to carry that perspective into how I show up.

That doesn’t mean every day is easy or that you have to be the loudest person in the room. It means choosing to live from a thankful heart.

Maybe that’s the kind of enthusiasm worth practicing.
