I have been waiting to post this until Cameron’s last Pet/CT Scans came back. This was 5 weeks ago in the hospital when he had his final round of chemo. I know a lot of you already know Cameron was battling Cancer, but I’ve never really told the full story of what happened. We went through some of the darkest days we’ve ever experienced as a family over the last 6-7 months and I just wanted to wait until I could announce that he is in FULL REMISSION 🥰🎉🎊 Cameron was on a full ride scholarship and left for school in Montana last August. He got sick after being on campus for only 3 weeks. He was hospitalized for a week up in Montana, but we didn’t truly understand at that point what we would be facing in the coming weeks and months. He had a lymph node biopsy and bone marrow biopsy done in Montana that showed no malignancies. He had an enlarged spleen, high liver enzymes and swollen lymph nodes, so we brought him back to CA for further testing, even though he was actually starting to feel a bit better after being discharged from the hospital in Montana. He came back home on 09/21 and by 09/27 he was back in the Emergency Room. We were in and out of the hospital multiple times with persistent fever and he just could not keep anything down. He lost 60lbs in a matter of 3-4 weeks. On October 14, I had to call an ambulance for him. His blood pressure dropped to 80/40 and he was not responding to me. They FINALLY admitted him to the hospital in Folsom. He spent close to a month in the hospital and was transferred to 4 different hospitals as nobody could figure out what was going on with him. He was transferred to Sutter downtown and luckily, his doctor ended up being the medical director and on like 4-5 different medical boards. He diagnosed Cameron with HLH, which is life threatening. He told Cameron if they didn’t start chemo ASAP, he had around a 10% chance to live. He also wanted to do more testing. On 10/31, We got the diagnosis that he had Stage 4 T-Cell Lymphoma. He went from being on a heavy ICU watch to rebounding almost immediately & after 6 rounds of very intense chemo, he is now CANCER FREE 🎉🎉🎉 PRAISE GOD by @jbloom81

Cameron decided today that he’s More than a Son, More than a Brother, More than a Friend, More than an Athlete…… and committed his life to God 💖 seriously love this kid so much and am very proud of him. by @jbloom81

Appreciation Post to this beautiful soul. You and my son may not be together anymore, but as we approach his 2 year anniversary of his diagnosis, I feel so much gratitude for you. Thank you for all the ways you were there for us and with us in his darkest days. Thank you for the nights you stayed with him in the hospital. Especially during that week I got sick and couldn’t see him. You will always have a special place in my heart. You are beautiful inside and out 💜 by @jbloom81
