I couldn’t believe this new Instagram feature 🤯 You can now have up to 20 slides in your carousel post This means you can now share even more value per post Which COULD be a blessing if used correctly 🧡 Or, you could do what I’ve done And abuse this feature With One Word Per Slide Don’t worry, this isn’t going to become a regular content format 🤣 If (like me) you hate this content format... You have @your_content_curator to thank for the idea 💡 What are your thoughts on this feature? Let me know in the comments below 👇 by @jbsosocial
Who do you listen to while working? 🎸 #freelancing #wfh #workmotivation #socialmediamarketing by @jbsosocial
I wish I knew this before I started freelancing 👇 Freelancing is the best! But it’s not all sunshine and rainbows 🌈 The truth is... Freelancing is also lonely Most of the time, you work in isolation 😖 You miss out on office banter You are the only one who understands your experiences So if you’re not careful You can end up ALONE! 😱 That’s why BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS is ESSENTIAL 🤝 Your peers are other creators 👀 Community engagement isn’t just about growing your following It’s mainly about building these relationships So you can thrive and survive as a freelancer! Send this to the best person you’ve met through socials 🫶 #freelancer #friendships #freelancertips #freelancesecrets by @jbsosocial
Send to someone guilty of doing this 🤣 90% of my content ideas come to me when I’m trying to sleep 😴 Does this happen to you as well? #contentcreation #meme #contentcreator #socialmediamarketing by @jbsosocial
Have you ever done any of these? Share your sins below 👇 1️⃣ Using AI to write captions Yes, this saves time, but this also KILLS engagement (See my last post) 2️⃣ Commenting nothing but emojis This is lame and lazy Meaningful, well-thought-out engagement is 100x more valuable than ‘👏👏👏’ 3️⃣ Mass following and unfollowing I used to do this every day And yes, I would gain a lot of followers But these were mostly bots or inactive accounts So my ER dropped through the floor 📉 4️⃣ Sending your content to others en masse for engagement I barely even reply to my own family Please stop sending me your content 5️⃣ 1-Second Videos Need I say more? Yes, I’ve been guilty of most of these at some point in my life 😖 (Sorry guys) Which have you been guilty of? Let us know in the comments 👇 by @jbsosocial
Gimme 20 seconds ⬇️ You’re using ChatGPT to write your caption, right? While this may save you some time... The truth is, doing this is KILLING your post-engagement 💀 Why? People connect with PEOPLE 👯‍♀️ Social media is full of AI-generated content So your audience finds it easy to spot this 👀 And makes them immediately IGNORE your content “If you can’t even be bothered to write the caption, why should I read it?” So what are some of the benefits of writing a caption yourself? 1️⃣ You can write in your unique style 2️⃣ You can be more personal and engaging 3️⃣ It’s easier to keep content fresh 4️⃣ It’s easier to stand out 5️⃣ It’s more fun! Sometimes, I even intentionally put a speling mistake in my captions so my audience KNOW it’s not AI 🤖 (See what I did there?) 😉 So STOP using ChatGPT - you’re better than that 👏 by @jbsosocial
Share this post with someone guilty of this 👀 This is why your audience isn’t engaging with your content ⬇️ You need to ask yourself: Are you optimising towards the algorithm or your audience? Most content creators are focused on trending audio and content templates 🙄 Rather than creating quality content that their audience will enjoy! This is where we see the birth of content like the 1-second video trend... It’s true, optimising for the algorithm may get you more views 👁️ But when you optimise for the algorithm you become imprisoned in a cycle of chasing views, instead of quality ⭐️ This means you never get to make the content you want to create You’re forced to create whatever the algorithm demands! Remember to share this post with someone guilty of this 👀 by @jbsosocial
I just realised I’ve never even introduced myself! 😮 Just want to start by saying thank you To everyone who has followed and engaged with this page over the last few months 💙 (All 787 of you as of sharing this post!) I look forward to learning from and connecting with all of you 😄 Remember to introduce yourself in the comments! 👇 by @jbsosocial
Are you struggling with community engagement? 😩 Save this checklist ✅ by @jbsosocial
I always used to fall victim to the idea of waiting for the ‘perfect moment’ “I’ll do it tomorrow when I’m not tired” “I’ll wait till life is less busy” “If only I had money I would start” The truth is, there are no perfect moments Life will always be busy Excuses will always exist Those who succeed are those who don’t wait for perfect moments They are those who take action regardless of how they feel, and reap the rewards for their action Who will you be? Are you an action taker?👇 by @jbsosocial
This is how you can build trust with your audience on Instagram 👇 Share your limitations - everyone has them, it’ll make your audience trust you when you say you can do something Tell honest stories - more people will relate than you think Share what’s in it for you - if you try to hide this, it comes across as deceptive and snakey 🐍 Communicate consistently - it’s better to over-communicate than to leave them on read! Connect with desires - find what your audience wants and needs and speak to that What’s your top tip for connecting with your audience? Leave your thoughts in the comments 💬 by @jbsosocial
Hashtags are dead 💀 Here’s what you should do instead 👇 The CEO of Instagram has said the hashtags don’t work I’ve suspected this to be the case for a while So how can we gain more reach without them? Ever heard of SEO? 🤔 Keyword Optimisation? If not, let me break them down for you! Instagram in the modern world is a search engine... Users will look for all sorts, such as recipes, holiday ideas or even content inspiration! And it’s rare that we search for hashtags #️⃣ Instead, we use everyday words and phrases THIS is what we should optimise towards with our Instagram captions 💡 Litter your captions with keywords you want to appear for BUT - make sure they’re still super relevant to your content Pro tip: You can try searching for keywords on Instagram yourself, which will show you the most searched-for 🔎 Which keywords will you rank for?
