As spooky season arrives, we have some fun things coming up- so put these dates in your calendars!

•Saturday 10/24, we will be having a flash day! Starting at 11am, there will be tons of old and new flash available.

•Sunday 10/25, we are hosting our FIRST ART SHOW at Emaki!

We have a huge amount of incredible artists that will be participating (see next slide) and we’d love to show you what we’ve all been working on for the last handful of months. The event begins at 5pm, and goes until we’re all too sleepy. Come by, have some drinks, check out some dope paintings.

* Seriously the artist list for this show is amazing and lengthy, but instagram only allows a maximum of 20 tags; so for your convenience I will be tagging everyone involved in my comments so that you can check out everyone’s work 😎

A different twist on a theme for Chris! He told me he really appreciates my style of waves and asked if I might be willing to take on a project with a more volcanic lava looking approach. I don’t typically venture too far from the traditional Japanese aesthetic, but it sounded really fun, and it absolutely was! Super happy with how this turned out, so thanks a million for the trust Chris 🙏🏼🌋

I really enjoy doing cover ups! It’s really gratifying to take a tattoo that someone is unhappy with and turn it into something that they love. I’m so happy with the results of this fully healed Hannya and Snake project for my buddy Steve! Thanks so much for the trust man 🙏🏼

I personally know all too well what a terrible feeling it is to walk around with a tattoo that either wasn’t done well, hasn’t aged well or just didn’t turn out as well as expected. Especially when the person wearing it has been turned away, told it wasn’t possible to cover, that they’d just have to live with it or get it lasered off. And while in some cases that may be true, often it’s more a matter of the tattooer not knowing how to approach the cover up, or not feeling confident that they could make the situation better rather than worse…

I don’t want to create unrealistic expectations, sometimes it is true that some tattoos do require laser treatments to be covered. But I do know for a fact that often tattooers would really rather not deal with the challenges involved and will end up sending people away with the feeling that their situation is hopeless and they will just have to accept what they’ve got.

If that describes you, I would like to try and help!
