Orchard Beach & City Island. Dr. Oliver Sacks used to live on City Island and would routinely swim the entire circumference of the island. It would take him nearly 8 hours.

We didn’t have nearly that much time for our visit. Beach rituals bringing on nostalgia even though it was my first time here. Always bring more film than you think you need. Two rolls. Made it work. @johnnysreefrestaurant gave views and fried fish and fresh shrimp and clams two ways and slushie piña coladas and Coronas, a feast a la Dustin. As much as lifting the World Cup would be beautiful, the real trophy is one more concert after today’s game against Switzerland, maybe two. Just one more symphony before the music ends. Some more quality time before the funeral.
