FCR VITA 2026 - Rd 3

Perfect weather condition with unfortunate qualifying incident.

Started on the back of the grid. P35.

Made up 10 positions to finish at P25. Not my best result, but my best effort so far.

There were moments out there where it felt like I was betting my life just to keep pushing. Honestly, so much about racing scares me. Some days I don't even know why I do it.

One of my biggest fears is that the people I love won't understand or support this path. Maybe because I'm still searching for the "why" myself, and I hope to find someone who wants to search for it with me.

Such is life. It's my life now. And it is a beautiful life.

Thanks to all those that came out to support me. It means the world to me.

Small price to pay for living your best life 😂

I have so much more work to do still. Follow my journey. by @jcin.jp

Testing the new VITA-02 at Suzuka Circuit.

Main upgrades from current VITA-01:
- H-pattern MT to paddle shift transmission
- slight power increase
- added HALO protection

Thr paddle shift by far was the main difference felt in the car. Not only do you not need to clutch and shift and rev match, it allows for left foot braking. It takes time to get used to, but makes for an interesting and fun drive. Looking forward to racing in the new spec car next year.

Fuji Champion Race

My younger self did not know.

He did not know that one day I would stand at the racetrack, Mt. Fuji in the distance, and that I would be crying. Not the crying of a child who has lost something. The crying of a man who has finally realized a dream.

For years, a voice said you are a failure, and a louder one agreed. I carried it through every relationship I could not keep, every dream I deferred.

"You're too old. You don't have the talent. You simply can't." And so I didn't.

But this year — this year I stopped running.

I trained until my body hurt in places I didn't know could hurt. There were injuries. There was an ambulance ride. And there was a relationship — a real and meaningful one — that ended in the middle of all of this. Because some doors only open when others close, even when you don't want them to.

So I raced.

My very first official race. I survived it. I was alive.

Now, standing here — the sun going gold, Mt. Fuji watching like an old, kind god — I understand something I have been trying to understand my whole life.

This is what it feels like to be alive.

Was it worth it? The hard work. The pain. The breakup.

I'll let you know once I stop crying.

I think of my younger self. I want him to see this. Look, I tell him — look at what we accomplished.

This is only the beginning. by @jcin.jp
