This month, we welcome four artists to our Creative Space Artist in Residence Program, in Al Shindagha Historical Neighbourhood, Dubai, in collaboration with Dubai Culture Mahra, Farva, Priyanka & Jack. A month to create, experiment, research, and most importantly… play. @farvanadim Farva Nadim is a multidisciplinary writer, artist, and independent researcher whose work explores memory, migration, urban identity, and the emotional landscapes between people and places. A lifelong learner, she aims to capture the liminal spaces between the rational and mystical through her work. @jck.nyt Jack Valentine is a multimedia artist, photographer, and stranger. Her work wrangles the weird and wild themes all around, in an effort to make them just a little more relatable to the core human experience. @mar___als Mahra Alsuwaidi is an Emirati artist and founder of Kunn space, based in Abu Dhabi (2000). Her practice stems from a lifelong fascination with materials, particularly fabrics and garments, and the quiet ways they fold, move, and shape the world around us. Focusing primarily on installation and sculpture, she questions materiality and the histories embedded within garments. Working with discarded textiles and everyday objects, she challenges ideas of obsolescence by reimagining materials beyond their original purpose. Through layering, merging, and transformation, she creates pieces that carry renewed life: objects meant to be worn, held, touched, and experienced. @kesangwashere Priyanka Dhurandhar (Kesang) is an Indo-Tibetan artist and practicing architect based in Dubai. Her multidisciplinary practice explores memory, nostalgia, identity and the spaces we inhabit, often drawing from childhood, popular culture, architecture and everyday objects. Through drawing, illustration, installation and participatory experiences, she creates playful worlds that invite people to reconnect with things we unknowingly grew out of. BUCK F/M : Chronic Wasting Disease Sure! Here’s a condensed version: Sure! Here: M and F fight, they observe, and they learn. They fight to learn and they observe to fight. When will they?— That’s not just a question, it’s the right idea. Inside the mind, M and F spring into action! Here is another version—it’s also a rule. Every you is still you. Every fragment is the same, but painted with a different crisis. When you wake up in the morning, who do you pretend to be in front of the mirror? — 👀✨ When they brought my head in for inspection, I hadI had six inches of my neck still attached and six inches of my cowboy hat upon me. 👀✨ And trust us — you’ll be a part of it! It’s not just me, it’s also me. ✨ * Creative Director/ Photographer: @jck_nyt Assistant Creative Director / Art Director: @toiletcarnival Creative Producer / Hair and Makeup : @shama_mua BTS / Photo Assistance: @evakarimi.ph Models: F: @eirianxmal M: @mar___als Art Direction and Lighting: @practise.hours Jewellery: @talotimetravels Rug: @jaipurrugsme @h5_____lab Caption: Not AI * Thank you. taken in Dubai - دبى by @jck.nyt
