Last night at Equip Night we got honest about the baggage we carry. The shame we hide, the fears we hold onto, and yes, the sin we’d rather keep than surrender. Some of it we’ve gotten comfortable with. Some of it we’ve even learned to defend. But here’s the truth: Jesus already carried it to the cross, and holding onto it only keeps us bound. Even when it’s hard to accept, even when part of us doesn’t want to let go, we have to lay it at His feet. Freedom costs us our grip on the things that were never meant to stay.

There’s something about young adults choosing to gather, dropping the performance, taking a second to just breathe and have the conversations that actually matter. That’s where freedom starts. That’s where real community is built. And that’s what sends us out to reach the people around us who are still carrying it all alone.
