One more year Dad and I walk the Woodingdean happy valley hill together ♥️💪 great weather, time to sit, talk, and take in the views. We then knocked on the door of the house we grew up in and the owner kindly walked us around. The house had completely changed, but just the space and dimensions brought so much back. We walked around our old garden to see what were once small trees, fully grown. By chance, a last stroll around another park in Rottingdean lead us to a shop with Dads favorite lager from 30+ years ago he’d not been able to source. A park bench by the pond was perfect spot before home time x by @jcphysiotherapy

Spending time with Mum and Dad during my brief stay in Brighton 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 ❤️

We got to walk through the park across from our house where @emma.cunden and I grew up. Remembering times like when it would snow and we would play on our sleds.

We visited our local places we would walk to feed horses/ducks, wandered through little villages, and had a drink in an old country pub where we’d play darts.

So many memories in the English countryside of long walks, talks, play and being present with each other - much easier in the days without internet or phones.

I shared how when young, I’d hear ‘grown ups’ tell me stories about ‘when you were little’ …

Stories which hold little meaning to someone who has neither spent much time alive, or thought about it.

Rather than hearing ‘when you were little...’, I was able to share memories of ‘when I was little’. Something I can only meaningfully do with a handful of people ❤️
