It started in Mexico. An early riser, I would head down to the ocean before the sun breached the horizon to catch some waves. In the misty dawn, in between swells and spray I would see this girl, on her boogeyboard, a little smile on her face, sunrise glint in her eye. We would exchange smiles and waves in the silence. Years later, a chance meeting in Hawaii led to our first date. Are you scared? I asked her, before we started on a rainy trail down the mountains. She laughed her cheeky laugh. I guess she wasn’t. Who knew a handful of years later I would be the one trembling with excitement, on one knee as the volcano lit up red behind us. I asked for her hand in marriage. And she said…yes.

We have learned so much about ourselves and each other over these years. Some ups and downs, ecstatic moments and stressful ones and all colors in between. Truly grateful to call you my fiancée, as we enter another chapter of this great adventure together. Hand in hand, heart to heart. ❤️

Let me show you how fragile the house of cards of chronic pain is.

It’s incredible to me that in these times science is confirming the things that some of humanities spiritual masters have been saying for thousands of years. To me that is one of the most incredible things about growth and evolution, or in this case ‘healing.’ You get reacquainted with the natural laws of the universe in a magical way and not just from a philosophical sense, but from skin in the game practicality.

Have you ever had a ‘no spoon’ moment?

Let me know!

A beautiful yet humbling day in Africa around this time last year. One wave, a lot of nerves and a set on the head. This is Africa heh. What a wild place.

Thanks again for the South African hospitality legends. by @jcraigen
