I’ve been doing nothing but lighting Delirium @deliriumfortwo for the last few weeks. It’s @igor_golyak_ ‘s new adaptation of an Ionesco play from 1962. It’s at the wimberly theatre in Boston for now. I’m quite proud of it.
This is not a scene from the play but a portrait of Jan Pappelbaum (the set designer) and Jeanette (the fish) both preparing for the next performance. taken in Virginia Wimberly Theatre by @jdadelberg

One of my favorite shows I’ve ever had anything to do with was @johnnykuntz ‘s masterpiece The Hotel Nepenthe which we made in a storefront in Somerville in 2011 as part of a “winter festival” at @aspbostontheatre . David R Gammons directed and designed the set and costumes, and I lit it. And we got to do it again the next year for the @huntingtontheatre , surreally re-creating the same storefront on the wimberley stage. There was one dress rehearsal where I was the only person watching it, I forget why, but that was a memorable delight.
Tonight Johnny organized a reunion reading for whoever wanted to come, and the room was filled with appreciative fans, and it was wonderful to hear the play again and laugh harder than I have in a long time. Then we had to re-create the sofa picture that I took back in 2011.
I still have that NO neon sign that I had made for the show. Actual neon! I wonder if it still works? by @jdadelberg

One last visit to the beloved Holliston Grill. Closing today after 74 years (the first 50 as Pete’s Lunch). Congrats to Dave and Pam on their well-earned retirement
