Happy birthday to this multitalented guy who matches my energy. My favorite dance partner, fellow foodie, adventure junkie, and without question, my favorite person to laugh and explore this world with.

This past year, we’ve spent summer days zipping around on boat and motorcycle in upstate New York, visited with family & friends in Chicagoland, danced our hearts out at Red Rocks, ate our way through Mexico City, hiked the Caminito del Rey in Malaga, e-biked around Ibiza, climbed castles in Portugal, spent part of the winter season in Tulum together… and continue to find magic in every chapter.

But what I love most is that you don’t need a passport to make life exciting. You somehow turn backyard hikes, grocery runs, workouts, home-cooked dinners, and even tooth brushing parties into memories worth keeping. The adventure has never really been the places. It’s always been you.

Blessed to have met someone that loves everything in life as much as I do, including sardines.

About a year ago today I met this cute little red head petunia girl named Jessica. Jessie for short. Jessie was selling sea shells by the sea shore. Long story short, I had her tally up the value of all her seashells she had at her seashell stand so she could give them away to people that wanted them. She was so delighted by my kind gesture… that days later she stalked me, located me on the opposite side of the island, found me, and asked if I wanted to eat sardines by the ocean. Plot twist: I’ve got a co-star. 🤭 Soft launch era is officially over.

What started on the dance floor, late-night phone calls, and long-distance daydreams turned into a love that feels like home — in every city, hike, lake, forest, or tiny living we find ourselves in.

He matches my energy. Encourages my sparkle. Joins my poetic rants about the moon and entertains all 47 of my questions about the state of our souls. And he reminds me — daily — what it feels like to be deeply seen and wildly adored.

Life lately has been full of sunset motorcycle rides, boat days, skydiving, camper life, hiking, integrating our worlds — with belly laughs through it all — and a kind of partnership that holds me with depth and play in equal measure.

This man brings me so much life. He’s adventurous, vivacious, emotionally in tune, deeply silly — and somehow makes me feel more safe, more alive, and more me than I ever thought possible.

We kept it quiet while it bloomed… but this love deserves a moment. ❤️ We’ve got so many adventures on the horizon — consider this your official invite to come along for the ride. 💫 by @jdang16
