It’s so thrilling to see new musicals, especially when it’s so well done. And even though it’s set in the 1980s, its themes are just as relevant today. Happy Pride 🏳️‍🌈 @nationaltheatre #musicals #drdramadavid taken in National Theatre by @jdavidgregory

Sharing a special evening last week with some of the Angels in America family and the team at UK AIDS Memorial Quilt ❤️ Learning about its history, hearing personal stories, and getting to read some scenes from the play alongside it brought even more heartfelt perspective to our artistic process. Our audiences will get to experience the Quilt up close when they come see our epic two part play this fall. Thanks to all who are making this happen. @aidsquiltuk @sedoslondon #drdramadavid #director #theatre #angelsinamerica taken in London, United Kingdom by @jdavidgregory

Time to properly put the lid on the pill bottles of my Next to Normal history. Dr Fine/Dr Madden, you were a bit of heart, a little sass, a bit cold, a bit of jokes, a little therapy, a lot of drugs, and a lot of make-up-your-minds… This Dr had the time of my mind playing both medical Drs. Thank you to the stellar cast and amazing directing/creative team for keeping me on my toes, and for reminding me that no matter how long you’ve been at it, there’s always more to learn. A huge shoutout to the incredible production team. “The price of love is loss, but still we pay…we love anyway.” 🎶💊🩺🏠 @sedoslondon #nexttonormal #drdramadavid #musicaltheatre

Theatre has lots of ups and a ton of downs, but it’s part of who I am. When it’s not in my life, I feel incomplete. But when it is, I get surrounded by so many creatively talented artists - many of whom become lifelong friends and family. I am so thankful for all of those experiences and for my extended theatre family in the US, England, Spain and beyond. I love you all and miss you so much. ❤️ Happy World Theatre Day. 🎭 taken in London, United Kingdom by @jdavidgregory
