Gaming with a side of news, sports and culture

🙌🏾WE CARE🙌🏾

The @nola.grown program isn’t all fun and games. We are actively working to create job and career pathways for kids in our community by using a method we developed called “CARE”

Cultivation - Building Community
Alignment - Hands on Instruction
Refinement - Job Provider Partnerships
Elevation - Growth to Next Level

This CARE Continuum is the answer to the school to prison pipeline. It’s an intentional effort to give these young people opportunities based on what THEY like and what THEY want to do with their lives.

We have partnerships with Microsoft, Epic Games (Fortnite), DAQA (game testing), Arrival Game Creative (gaming sound design) and many others who work with us to create lessons and curriculum that leads directly into job opportunities.

In addition…we worked with Epic Games scholastic partners to get a state certification in gaming animation that we will have to offer this fall.

Come play games…learn new skills and build a community. That’s what this is all about 🙌🏾 by @jdfromthe504

💯GAMING SOUND DESIGN💯

Our @nordcommission internship sessions are back in full swing. @nola.grown has partnered with @arrivalgc_official to create a unique sound design curriculum that shows how music and sound plays a pivotal role in game development . They will be learning directly from Hollywood game industry professionals. So grateful for their willingness to pour into our kids 🙌🏾 taken in Joe Brown Park by @jdfromthe504

🚨NEW🚨

I have obtained documents that shows that Gerald Neely aka Gerrod Stevens of WBOK was paid over $30k to community outreach and multimedia services by former Sherrif Susan Hutson.

This comes after he and Suzette Bagneris accused me and @reggieart of being on the payroll of politicians with the intent to “spin” news stories.

That’s the things about narcissistic personality disorder…one the key traits is accusing people of the very thing g you are doing.

To me…you can’t be a PR agent AND report the news without bias..looks like somebody had some explain to do if you ask me. by @jdfromthe504

Since Bayou Mama Bears wants to play crackhead games…let’s play.

It has come to my knowledge that these people are using public tax dollars in order to keep this case going. They are trying to suck our entire community drive off of a frivolous lawsuit. The longer they keep the suit going the more Laura Cannizaro gets paid. So I went ahead and decided to ask for a public records request to see how much of our money she’s getting paid.

Meanwhile Mayor Helena Moreno is doing a great job and looks like the city agrees. Most of the Helena hate is forced rage bait content for engagement. by @jdfromthe504
