I've spent a lot of time along the abandoned tracks between Penacook and Concord. Maranda and I came here a lot in our first year because it was a place we could escape to and breathe.

I had some solo time recently so I walked a good section and took some photos.

When I started this film thing, I knew I would be trying some low light material because night photography has always grabbed my attention.

I'm learning how difficult that can be when what you're trying to do requires light to work.

Here are some of my successes.

Shout out to the local businesses for providing the light.

I spent the better part of my Saturday at the @concordskatepark Skate Jam. The event is an annual community event, now in its sixth year, to showcase the love and passion that lives in our local and surrounding communities for the sport of skateboarding. The jam's activities included a contest split into various age groups, music, and raffles with proceeds going to the CSP Association's goal of building our city a new skate park.

What the CSP Association has accomplished so far is wonderful, but they have a ways to go. I encourage people to keep an eye on what the CSP is up to as far as events and fundraisers and participate when you can. There are more planned for the rest of the year including a benefit show at Penuche's in Concord on July 24th with three bands on tap. Check the CSP socials for details.

And remember, Sunday June 21st is National Go Skate Day. So get to CSP and skaaate.

September kept us on our toes, gave us quiet Saturday mornings, egg nog season, and cat antics. ☕ 🐈 🍂 by @jdockham775

At the beginning of the summer we kicked off the season with a trip to Old Orchard Beach, ME. I had never been there before, only heard things of it from people over the years. It's basically fancy Hampton but was a great opportunity to take in all that summer has to offer in one place.

I took some rare color photos -- with a stock I've never used before Cinestill 800T -- in the evening to take advantage of the carnival lights all over the boardwalk and beach too. I've not gotten those developed yet because I don't do color development at home, but we'll see them soon.

Summer has had my time occupied doing a lot of things besides taking photos or being creative but my time is opening up again with our home upgrades being finished.

Oh yeah, Old Orchard Beach has a train that runs through it. That was pretty sick. 🚂

✌️

Some of my most recent shots from @concordskatepark. I have some prints to hand out, too.

@the_realtonytee_603 and @heathbarrr rippin' up the ledge and round rail, respectively.

The last frame was a random hip shot. Something I'm trying to get better at.

July came and went.

I developed all of these in July, but I know at least one of these I didn't shoot in July.

Anyway ✌️

Here's a sneak peek of the Zine I made to help raise funds for the @concordskatepark.

13 pages with 16 of my photos from CSP so far this summer and a couple dozen words. $10 each and all proceeds go to the park fund.

The benefit show with @hellbeachband @ffo.chillin and @rosewoodparkband is tomorrow!

See you out there.

This Friday, July 24th, @penuchesconcord is hosting a benefit show for @concordskatepark with proceeds going towards the skatepark project.

Three bands:

@hellbeachband
@ffo.chillin
@rosewoodparkband

$10 Cover, 21+

I'll be slinging my very own Capital City Skate zines to raise money for the park. $10 each, straight to the cause.

I hear there might be some raffle prizes too.

It's been a hell of a couple weeks. Maranda's workplace being turned upside down, the kiddo being on her class's Washington DC trip, and a few other things, we needed time to let it all go.

That's where the parking garage burrito comes in. This is my all time favorite custom that her and I have. Nothing beats it.
