-Chaotic Canoe Clan (not so) Clandestinely Canoes ‘cross Canyonlands-

There were gargantuan giggles to be had, spectacular sights to be seen, allergic reactions to be endured, MEGABOATS to be formed, confluence juice to be consumed, phones to be sacrificed to the river (nobody can know who’s that might be), River Prom king and queens to be crowned, Rob’s Canyon Opera to witness (see last slide), oh and boats to be paddled! But most of all there were the friends you made or have known forever along the way. taken in Canyonlands National Park, Utah by @jdouth

Another shortened ski season for me. Here is some of the only photo evidence that I was even near the slopes this year. But on a more positive note, designed some pretty neat skis and learned that I was overdue for a cowboy hat.

4 catamarans, 2 different charters, 8 world class musicians, 65 world class people, 6 islands, 2.5 weeks of sleeping in a sail bag, and wayyyy too many photos/videos to capture the majesty of this trip with @rhythmandsails . 3 weeks long, but it felt like I blinked and it was over. To the good friends and the new friends, what a time! Thanks @partythor @dcquigley and @andersdobro for asking me to be apart of this wonderful journey. A week and a half ago four Rainer rookies (@tnobleman , @dgloven , @chuckdoingit and myself) made a quick and rather last minute trip up to Washington to make a single day summit attempt of the aforementioned Mt. Rainier. About 1500 feet from the summit after 8000+ ft of climbing, despite still feeling strength in our legs and breathe in our lungs, we decided to turn around. The sun blasted snowfield hanging over the Nisqually Glacier we would be required we to descend later if we continued was warming quickly. After quite a lot of deliberation we made a group decision to avoid any avalanche danger and turned around to begin the longest descent in the Lower 48. Despite not quite summiting the glaciated volcano none of us had even ever seen before, I felt oddly ok with it, knowing that now I have an excuse to come back one day to take care of some unfinished business. The volcano will always be there... unless of course it erupts. @icelantic_skis
