POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

The project I worked on “Tokyu Kabukicho Tower” opened in Shinjuku in April 2023. I was one of the architects for this project and primarily focused on the design, 3D visualization, and construction drawings for the exterior facade, performance theater, and interior dining halls.

I’m a little late to make this post, but in March I accepted a job offer working at a different company. I just want to post about it here to remember the good times I had working at Kume Sekkei since 2017. Thank you for assigning me to such a wonderful project 🙇 taken in Tokyo, Japan by @je.ller

It’s been awhile since I could find the time to make my 3D art, and honestly since the AI boom, I’ve felt really demotivated because something like this could just be generated by anyone in seconds 😅. Anyway, l’ve had this one in the works for a while but after my daughter was born I never got around to finishing it. Well, it’s finally done now! What do you think?

#irezumi or more specifically, #wabori is the traditional #art of #Japanese #tattooing. It has a long history dating back to the Edo period (1603–1868). Originally it was associated with criminality especially with regards to the Japanese mafia ( #yakuza ), In recent times has since transformed into a revered art form, with motifs drawn from Japanese folklore, mythology, and nature. Today, wabori stands as a testament to both the intricate craftsmanship of its artisans and the cultural significance embedded in each beautifully designed #tattoo.

Trying more #rigging and #animation tests. As many of you may or may not know, in my free time I have been solo developing a stylized labyrinth #Japanese folklore themed video game using #Blender and #UnrealEngine blueprinting. Stay tuned as I will be posting more about it in the future 😊

My tribute to the Nakagin Capsule Tower. Recently it was announced that this metabolist landmark by architect Kisho Kurokawa is set to be disassembled and donated to museums.

Located in the Ginza, Tokyo and built over the course of only 30 days in 1972, the housing block is considered a rare example of Japanese metabolism.
