At the Summer Table.Today’s reel is a special one.On Thursday I drove down to Hampshire to spend the day at @cheriedenhamcooks home alongside @anaortiz_chef & Tom from @firemadeuk , @helen_goh_bakes , @nishascookingagain , @cookedbycelia and @prgirl65 & @chinwe____ for a very special summer lunch.We’d each been asked to create a dish to share around one long table, tucked away beneath the trees in a quiet corner of Cherie’s garden.If I’m honest, I’d barely slept all week. I was incredibly excited, but also a little nervous. Standing alongside so many talented cooks and bakers, I couldn’t help thinking, “I’m just the pizza guy.” I always do this before an event, it’s silly, and as usual, I needn’t have worried! Within minutes it simply felt like a group of good friends who had been cooking together for years!The afternoon was so relaxed, generous & full of laughter. Watching everyone skillfully go about creating such incredible food, swapping stories, sharing ideas was a real privilege, and something I’ll never forget.Every dish was exceptional, every conversation inspiring, and every person around that table made me feel so completely welcome. Food has an incredible way of bringing people together, and this was one of those afternoons I’ll always look back on with the biggest of smiles.A huge thank you to Cherie, Andy Denham😉, and the wonderful Jean Egbunike for bringing everyone together and creating such a memorable day. Andrew and I have been meaning to post this for quite some time but our book events have kept us very busy recently! These photos are from the fantastic London launch of ‘The Irish Kitchen’ @quovadissoho A huge thank you to the wonderful @jeremyleeqv who let us celebrate in his beautiful blue room and who’s team could not have been more helpful or kind. Thank you also to the lovely @je_communications for organising our evening to perfection and @urszula.soltys.photography for capturing the evening so beautifully. To @candoverbrook thank you for the delicious English Sparkling wine which everyone loved along with the @chalk_stream smoked trout. My absolute favourite pairing!Thank you very much to everyone who came and supported us, it was just fantastic to see the room so packed and full of warmth and happiness, seeing you all enjoying yourselves with the lilt of the Irish fiddle and guitar in the background is something we shall never forget! It is publication day for The Reimagined Home by @nicolegraystylist - a project that I have been working on since the beginning of the year. This beautiful book is full of the most stunning photography and carefully considered essays featuring 16 of the world's most respected creatives and their homes. It illustrates how to embrace sustainable design and transform your space with joy using existing pieces, adaptable design ideas and conscious purchases. I hope this book goes on to become a modern classic. Congratulations to you Nicole for always being an absolute force - for good! A big thank you to all of the journalists and publications who have featured and will be featuring the book as well as some of our favourite brands for their support. Sometimes things come absolute full circle: Kally Ellis, founder of McQueens Flowers was my first ever client has her exquisite home featured in the book "Masseria Kalliope" in rural Puglia. The Reimagined Home is a new book by the very talented stylist, editor, guest speaker at my interior design retreats and friend @nicolegraystylist. Nicole has always been passionate about sustainability but felt the joy was lacking. In this book she starts from the premise that sustainable design doesn’t have to be brown and boring and expensive but can be filled with colour and fun and personality. Contrasting Colour We are super happy to share these wonderful photos from the first collaboration between @houseofdotcom x @em.gurner .The collection showcases two ranges - Pleat and Ribbed and these include table lamps, ceiling lights, floor lamps and wall lights.
