I enjoyed reading this book. This is the story of Waylon, Charley, and Oren. Waylon has recently come home from active duty with the National Guard. Charley is starting a new life as single mom, to Oren, and opening her flower shop. They meet when Waylon comes to Charley’s flower shop to order flowers for his mom. Thus begins the journey for Waylon, Charley, and Oren. I love how Anna Grace wrote the relationship between these three - Waylon’s care for Oren and Charley, but also the truths Waylon and Charley speak to each other. I appreciated the depth she wrote for them and the other characters in this book. I love the growth of the characters throughout the book especially Charley. The culmination of the book was wonderful and funny. The epilogue was everything I could hope for in the officially happy ending. I adored the way Anna Grace added whimsy to this story in the way the Holiday siblings made Christmas so magical for Oren. I love the attention to detail - a pet box for Box, and the wonderful Christmas magic - Christmas elves in heater vent, so good. Plus Oren’s wonderful imagination. This is the story of love, found family, forgiveness, and standing up for yourself. Thank you Anna Grace for trusting me with an advanced reader copy of your book. All of the opinions are my own.

I love this book! I knew when I read the chapter one epigraph that this book was going to be good. It was funny and heartfelt. This is the story of Rosie and Dean. Rosie is working to renovate the inn she recently purchased and Dean is her first guest. Rosie is sweet and has a problem telling people no. Dean has come to town to settle the property that was left to him by his grandparents. While staying at the inn, Dean finds out that he enjoys renovating. Thus begins the journey of Rosie and Dean. This book was written so well. After reading the first chapter and seeing that Rosie took a shortcut hanging the shower curtain because she was hurrying to get the room ready for her first guest, I knew what was coming. When it happens it didn’t disappoint, I laughed so hard. Then way Becky Monson wrote the ending was perfection. The story was everything I hoped it would be. ♥️♥️♥️

I love this wonderful debut novel by Karen Anne Gillespie. When I agreed to read the advance reader copy of the first book by an author, I expected something less mature. I was wrong. This a lovely book written very well. The beginning did have a lot of woes but turned into a well written story of love, growth, overcoming fears, and sharing your faith. This is the story of Lucy and Roland. They’ve lived next door to each other their wholes lives. Lucy’s mother and Roland’s father are friends and made a rational arrangement for Lucy and Roland to marry when they become of age. I love Lucy and Roland and their growth arc. It made me laugh. It made me cry. It made me swoon. At one point I was ready to ring Roland’s neck, but I enjoyed his and Lucy‘s journey throughout the book. I look forward to what comes next for Karen Anne Gillespie.
