what a journey this has been✨ i cannot begin to put into words what this film means to me. there is so much to unpack here for me, but we can save that for another day. i was given the opportunity of a lifetime to experience what it meant to put on a service uniform back in the 1940s, and more importantly what it meant to put on the uniform as a Black woman in the 1940s. women in uniform have their own set of struggles, but being a Black woman in uniform is something entirely different.

plaase take some time this holiday season to learn about some Black history we were never taught. the women of #TheSixTripleEight are not forgotten!

thank you @tylerperry @kerrywashington @carlota_espinosa11 @keriselig @nicoleavant @msangibones @kimcolemancasting @therealdebbieallen @netflix and ALL of the producers, cast and crew for coming together to shed some light on the women of the 6888th Postal Battalion.

it has been absolute honor. i’m so happy to say i have some new battle buddies for life 🫡💚😍
