Kevin Cornett @cornettkevin is a living legend in Washington motocross. -
He’s always been there for the local privateers, and the work he pours into his private track says everything. Hours in the dirt. No cameras, no looking for praise, just making a place where people can ride, get better and have a great time! -
A die-hard fan of this sport and one of the most giving people I’ve ever met. He also rips on a dirt bike. -
Grateful for guys like him. - 📷 @jonortner -

I’ve had a lot of good days on a bike this year. Last Saturday at the annual Ride & BBQ @cornettkevin Cornett MX might have been the best of them. -
Great people. Great riders. Conversations that made ya laugh. Guys like @chriscorn356 @pc148 and @chaseohara529 throwing out whips like Oprah was giving them away. Track was ripping. Food was dialed. -
Then for a mega bonus the legendary @jonortner rolls up from Santa Barbara, throws a leg over his @tbtracing YZ450, hammers the place, and shoots the day the way only he can. Those photos he took just hit!! -

As a successful business owner, I’m always on the lookout for talent, drive, motivation, and determination to perform and learn. Yet I’m often disappointed by how entitled and lazy parts of the younger generation can be. So when I spot a young man who truly stands out, it deserves to be recognized.
•
Some talent is obvious. But the real kind only reveals itself when you take the time to truly observe. This past weekend I was fortunate to spend three days at moto camp! While in attendance, I noticed that real talent in @prestonboespflug_28 and I’m not talking about his riding talent (though that’s outstanding too). I’m talking about what Preston has going with @pbo_training_co
•
At just 21 years old, Preston’s composure, mature demeanor, and genuine desire to give back to the motocross community are the real deal. Zero ego, yet full of excitement every single day. He’s been pouring his energy into @pbo_training_co and last weekend he and Ryan Hughes ( @rynoglobal )teamed up and delivered a truly outstanding program. (More of that in another post)
•
Putting a group camp like this on is far from easy. Preston orchestrated and managed a large, diverse group of riders — from 7-year-olds all the way to 65-year-olds, from novice riders to some of the fastest supermini racers in the state, plus competitive local pro-level riders. Not once did I see him fluster under the pressure managing such a multi faceted group, and making sure all riders/racers not only had a quality experience but a rewarding experience.
•
If I were a betting man, I’d put my money on him without hesitation. He has the focus and determination to make @pbo_training_co very successful.
•
If your looking to learn, improve, refine, build confidence or anything motocross related, I know you will make gains at his coaching days, camps, 1-on-1 training, or anything else he has in the works. And keep an eye on his racing career too, he’s damn good at that as well.
•
Special thanks to @greasedproductions / @riderfisher207 for the photography, you killed it!
•
Special thanks to @amya.lynnn for keeping us all fed all weekend!

I’m glad to finally be done with @hornrapidsmx @lorettalynnmx area qualifier weekend. (All pics by @gatedrop_pro thank you!) -
It started off awesome! The Full @diesel.werx setup with @bbierek299 at the helm rolled in Thursday afternoon, My @tbtracing KTM350 was dialed and ready to rip. Then it all went sideways early friday morning with a hard get-off in practice on just lap 2. I was hurting bad, banged up, bruised, and my confidence had completely evaporated. I don’t crash like that often, and it genuinely scared me. (I would most likely been really F’d if it was not for my @alpinestarsmx Tech-Air and @6dhelmets) For a minute I just wanted to pack up and head home. But this was the only LL area I planned to race, so there was no other option, we don’t quit. @lbierek94 showed up Friday night and helped get the bike sorted and boosted some confidence! -
Knowing my age groups (40+ and 45+) were only on Sunday gave me a full day of condensed recovery. I figured I could find a way to survive four motos at about 50% output.
-
Sunday morning came and I was as stiff as the old guy on those AARP cards that show up in the mail. But we did it, It was far from pretty, every bump on the track sent pain shooting through my upper body, forcing me to ride ultra cautious, while not being able to breathe well. In the end we finished the weekend with a 1-3 for 3rd overall in 45+ and a 9-7 for 7th overall in 40+. Glad to be home in one piece and already looking ahead to Washougal for the next regionals. -
I can’t thank @bbierek299 enough for all the support, even though I was hurt he gave me more than 100% and that means a lot! - @diesel.werx @motosportinc @i90mtr @tbtracing @onealracing @ride100percent @ridedunlop @twin_air @gaerneusa #motocross #lorettalynnareaqualifier #dirtbikes #enjoytheride #ktm taken in HRMC, Horn Rapids Motorsports Complex by @jed_m

Wow what an awesome weekend of motocross racing @glenhelenraceway on my @i90mtr @tbtracing KTM350SX. While my overall speed needs a little more gusto and quite frankly a little uncomfortable hanging it out on the famous and notoriously fatiguing Glen Helen motocross track. “Saturday at the Glen” was one of best local motocross race’s I’ve ever attended. Lori and her team run a fantastic program. The racers in attendance are some of the most humble, authentic, uplifting, and down right awesome people I have met in some time! I was a stranger in their space and all welcomed me with a smile, laugh and some very enjoyable conversations from before practice, between motos and some post racing dinner with a side of Supercross viewing! I am so fortunate to still have the love for this sport and the joy it brings me! THANK YOU to all those track workers, promoters, photographers, spectators, track owners, volunteers and many others that make this all happen and give so much to keep this sport going and growing. ——————————————————————— fantastic 📷’s by @debbitamiettiphotography ———————————————————————
