We were not in the USA on 9/11.

We were living in Germany and went to meet my dad in Rothenburg, who was traveling on the Rhein River to tell him we were expecting our first child, his first grandchild.

A German man literally pulled Randy off the street where we were shopping, insisting he go up to his flat to show him something on the television that had just happened in America.

In 2019 we took our kids to NYC, right before quarantine happened and met up with my dad again - we all went to see the 9/11 Memorial.

We will never forget the lives lost, but we will also never forget the kindness of perfect strangers. by @jedimusicmaster
