Officially a Captain!!! ⚓️

Multiple years of hard work, met many amazing people, and have worked on 16 different vessels thus far (yachts, tugs, ferrys, tourism). I finally have enough sea days & experience for my endorsement, and yesterday I took 5 different exams in order to get my official license (8 hours of straight testing)! Passed the first try 💪 Cried so many tears of joy while getting handed this, you have no idea. For the female captains that came before me, to the ones that will come after, we are making history everyday. Females only represent about 2% of all captains in the maritime industry…for now ;)

Never in a million years did I think I would ever be a Captain. It started as a fun job I wanted to do during the summer, but then I found my calling. Here I stand today…grateful, determined, and hungry for more 🤙 by @jeesseniia

Happy birthday dad <3

64 would’ve looked good on ya, and you probably would’ve been retiring sometime around now. Wish you could see the things Jazz & I are doing in life, but I know you’re up there rootin’ for us! #FuckCancer by @jeesseniia
