Some belated Eva-posting to celebrate the release of MGS Delta! 🐍💕 Fun fact: we did the forest photoshoot in the first 2 slides on Halloween and I literally had to climb on a dead log over a crick. I just love ✨method acting✨ in my cosplay shoots apparently. The cosplay just isn't complete until you've confronted your own mortality. Slides 1 + 2: 📷 @dreamlifestylephotography Slide 3: 📷 @baron.von.sparkles (maybe? Dude you'll need to remind me if this shot was you, lol) Slides 4 + 5: selfies from cons (if you're related to me and see the full version of slide 5, I apologize in advance.) by @jeeznomad

Went to @enchantaexperiences this last weekend and did a 'Knight Club' group with some of the @ontario_cosplay_collective gang. (Please laugh at the pun they worked hard on it). It also occurred to me this was the first event I've done all year where I haven't been working in some capacity, so I decided to get ✨a little silly✨ with it. #Enchanta #TorontoLife #FantasyFaire #FantasyFashion #IDKWhatToHashtag by @jeeznomad

Guys I think this vid needed more yellow filter (But also when you think about how much internet speak is misappropriated and stolen culturally, I'm pretty sure we might be doing Skull Face's big plan to ourselves willingly. 🥲) #ThinkAboutIt #YellowFilter #MetalGear #MetalGearSolid #IDKWhatToHashtag by @jeeznomad

Baroque Works? I sure hope it does. Sup guys, I just remembered that I am allegedly a cosplayer. Huge if true, so I thought I should post some actual cosplay pics. This has been the busiest year for cons and events I've ever had and something tells me 2026 isn't done with me yet. But, it's been a slow one for cosplay builds because I've been working at every event I've attended. I made CrocoMommy earlier this year to accompany @legendofautumn's absolutely beautiful hand-beaded Nico Robin at Anime North tho. 🌸 Credits: 📸 - @dfundanophotography 🤠 - @legendofautumn 📍 - @animenorthcompass 2026 🪝 - 3d print by @thedangerousladies 🐊 - me Hashtags nobody should read: #CosplayersofCanada #OnePieceCosplay #AnimeNorth #SirCrocodile #MissAllSunday a photo of 2 cosplayers dressed as Nico Robin and Crocodile from One Piece sitting in chairs by @jeeznomad

Yes, the 5" platforms actually were more comfy than the 1" character shoe. I originally uploaded this earlier today and it got suppressed because one slide talked about my personal experiences with unwanted comments + physical contact coming from other cosplayers. 🙃 Unless the algo just has something against the old Katy Perry outfit I haphazardly made in 2014, but somehow I doubt it. I was debating posting this, but I do want to share my POV about this year's FanExpo. For clarity: I am not defending the con or deflecting their BIG ASS responsibility. While I think our community could be kinder to each other (and that callout applies to me too), it's still on Informa for allowing the overcrowding to happen. They made the choice to sacrifice the quality of the experience, people's personal safety, and even their AODA rights, just to squeeze out extra profit. Even though the money, power and liability are in their hands, I think we can extend the conversation to include small things we can do as individuals. A few personal things for full disclosure: 1. I'm old enough to remember the 2010 incident when @torontofireservices shut down the event for crowding issues and people were locked out of the building. Since then, the times I've participated in the event have been avenues that don't involve handing over my money. In the past I've done media coverage, worked for exhibitors, even volunteered for the sake of getting experience on the organizational side, or sometimes simply not going. 1.5. I encourage everyone to think about what you want to get out of cons, and plan accordingly based on your goals. Sometimes the goal is have fun and meet a celeb you like and that's ok, but I don't think anyone should put themselves through the discomfort and risks that happened this year. 2. I am speaking only for myself as an individual and this doesn't represent the views of anyone in the community I work with. 3. This event does hold personal significance to me because it's where I met my partner, and in the past I've been able to connect with artists whose work has influenced my life. This is why I would like to see improvements. If you read all of this I'm happy for you or sorry that happened. by @jeeznomad

A year ago, I had the most insane week possibly ever. These photos cover a fraction of the story. As I was preparing to fly out for the 3rd @mgscon, I heard news about flight attendants at my airline going on strike to finally get appropriate compensation for their work. I figured, "I should wait til my flight is ACTUALLY canceled first and then book a backup, right?" My partner (the wonderful @alpha_z3r0) calmly told me, "Like FUCK you're waiting" so I booked a Southwest flight and begged my parents to drive me to Buffalo. When the cancellation and refund notice for my original flight plans came in, I've never been happier to be inconvenienced. I also knew this would be my last US trip for the forseeable future. Then 2 days before my trek began, my 14 year old cat Coffee passed away from health complications we'd been dealing with for the better part of 2025. My most vivid memories from that night are being in hysterics at the emergency vet. She helped me pack my suitcase a few days prior. I was still a zombie when I got to Buffalo, had a layover in Chicago (luckily I remembered the layout of Midway from a trip in 2023), and had my first proper sleep in a few days on the 2nd leg of the flight. I spent the next few days in California running on fumes, the kind of love that gets talked about in cults, and mac n cheese from the hotel bar. Seeing my friends and my community come together sustained me. I truly do not even have the words. Everyone's joy meant so much. The day after the con, my body said "Hey girl, I have BEEN keeping score" and I had crippling stomach pains for the next 2 days. I drank my body mass in Gatorade, reader. After flying back to Buffalo (including a 5am layover in Baltimore that felt like a hallucination), I had my last American meal for the foreseeable future at a family diner. As I was paying up and leaving, some kid was watching a brainrot video with the sound on for everyone to hear, in which the loudest noise was the beautiful and terrible "❗" sound from MGS1. I walked out with a smile. I know I yap about these games and this fandom A LOT (and always have, lol), but no matter how far away we are, nothing breaks us apart. 💖🐍 by @jeeznomad

I recently saw a reel where someone said how they misjudged the MGS games and assumed at first they were just generic war shooters. And we love seeing people learn new information and grow. But also, brother, welcome to the tip of the iceberg. .......are the kids still hashtagging? #MetalGearCosplay #Shitposter #MetalGearSolid #CosplayersOfCanada #ForYourPage by @jeeznomad
