Throwback Day 3📸

Our last day in Cádiz was a mix of politics, culture and spending some final moments together🥹
☀️ We started the day with some free time around San Juan de Dios Square before heading to the City Hall, where the Cádiz Manifesto was officially read in the Plenary Hall📌It was a special moment to see all the discussions and ideas from the past days come together in one final document✍🏻

Then we got to discover more of Cádiz with a visit to the Oratory of San Felipe Neri and some time to explore the old town and swimming.

We continued the day on the water with a boat tour, enjoying the sun, the views and our last hours as a group🌊🥪❤️

Our next stop was San Marcos Historic Castle where we had a picnic before coming back together for the closing of the event🏰

We also took some final photos and recorded interviews with the participants📸🎤

The Cádiz Ventotene Forum took place from Wednesday, September 9 to Sunday, September 13 in San Fernando and Cádiz! 🌊🇪🇺 Over five intensive days, more than 120 young leaders from across Europe gathered to discover the Bay of Cádiz, exchange ideas, and participate in a vibrant program featuring high-level conferences with outstanding speakers and a wide range of activities. 🏛️✨

From exploring sustainable innovation during our tour of Incubazul at the Zona Franca to group dynamics on the iconic La Caleta beach, visiting the Archaeological Museum of Cádiz, and crossing the bay by catamaran to El Puerto de Santa María, the forum showcased the rich history and strategic potential of our region.

The central moment of our gathering was the civic demonstration through the streets of Cádiz. Together, we took to the streets to defend democracy, voice our firm support for Ukraine against Russian aggression, and advocate for unwavering European solidarity and federalist action. 🇺🇦🇪🇺 The march concluded at the Plaza de España in Cádiz, where we were honored to be joined by Volodymyr Lukianov, Consul of Ukraine, in Málaga, whose presence underscored the crucial importance of unity and freedom in Europe today.🕊️

On the streets of Cádiz🇪🇸 during our City Activism🇪🇺🗣️we proudly showed our support of Ukraine🇺🇦. Volodymyr Lukianov, Council of Ukraine of Málaga, who we previously met on the panel, also took part in our demonstration.

It shows once again how united Europe is when it comes to protecting and helping Ukraine🫶🏼🤍Слава Україні!🇺🇦

Throwback Day 2📸

Day 2 was all about discussions, different perspectives and getting deeper into European politics🗣️

We started with three panels on EU-LATAM relations, Eastern Enlargement, and Brexit and the Southern Horizon🌍🇪🇺

After that, we continued working on the Cádiz Manifesto, discussing amendments, delegations and finally voting on them📜

In the afternoon, we took our discussions to the streets during our Civic Activism, taking action for Europe and showing our support for Ukraine🇪🇺🇺🇦❤️ by @jef.stagram

Throwback Day 1📸

We started into the first day with activating group exercises, so that the participants could get to know each other.🗣️ Afterwards, we took the train to Zona Franca, one of our sponsers. We learned more about the different start-ups, they're supporting and the impact of european cohesian policy.🌊🇪🇺

The following hours the participants divided into two groups, going to La Caleta Beach and the Archaeological Museum of Cádiz, taking turns. After the short time of relaxation in the ocean we continued our programme with the first Manifesto Draft Session at the Casa de la Juventud de Cádiz.📜 Last but not least, we ended our day, after a very productive drafting session, with a Gala dinner at El Parador Restaurant and ocean view with a beautiful sunset.🌅 🍷 by @jef.stagram

Wir sind beim Kosmos Festival in Chemnitz!🎉

Mit dem Kulturkompass für Europa präsentierte die Europäische Kommission im vergangenen Jahr ihre Vision für eine lebendige und integrierte europäische Kulturlandschaft. Mit dieser Strategie will die Kommission aktuellen Herausforderungen begegnen. Doch wie kann es gelingen, regionale Kulturen zu bewahren und gleichzeitig unter einem europäischen Kulturerbe zu einen und somit eine Brücke zwischen regionaler und europäischer Identität zu schlagen? Dieser Frage wollen wir gemeinsam mit Vertreter:innen aus Kultur und Wissenschaft nachgehen. Ziel ist es, ein Bewusstsein für europäische Kultur (-politik) zu schaffen, die auch verbindet. by @jef.stagram

🇪🇺 Europa-Stammtisch – Runde 2!

Nach unserem ersten gemeinsamen Abend war schnell klar: Das war nicht das letzte Mal. Deshalb geht unser Europa-Stammtisch von Jusos Chemnitz, Volt Chemnitz und den Jungen Europäischen Föderalist:innen Sachsen in die zweite Runde. 💬

Beim ersten Treffen haben sich aus der Diskussion schon einige Themen herauskristallisiert, über die wir weiterreden wollen:
📱 Digitalisierung, Social Media & KI
🌱 Umwelt- und Klimaschutz
🫂 Flucht- und Migrationspolitik
🇪🇺 und natürlich die Frage, wie wir Europa eigentlich gestalten wollen.

Aber: Eine feste Tagesordnung gibt es bewusst nicht. Was diskutiert wird, entsteht auch diesmal aus euren Fragen, Perspektiven und Themen.

Dabei ist völlig egal, ob ihr schon politisch aktiv seid, einer Organisation angehört oder einfach neugierig seid. Der Stammtisch ist offen für alle, die Lust auf Austausch haben.
