A lot of you found me because of one video I almost didn’t post.

My visit to the Flight 93 National Memorial reached far more people than I ever expected. With so many new faces here, I thought I should introduce myself.

I’m Jeff Duneske. Before real estate, I spent 10 years as a firefighter and EMT here in Michigan, which is part of why that visit stayed with me the way it did.

For the past 26 years, I’ve helped people buy and sell homes throughout Northville, Novi, South Lyon, and the surrounding Metro Detroit communities.

Most of what I share here is about real estate, local communities, and the places and stories I think are worth knowing.

Everyone has a story. This one shaped how I show up today.

I started in the fire service before real estate, graduating from the Oakland Fire Academy in 1996 and serving with the Novi Fire Department as a firefighter and EMT. Years later, already several years into real estate, I joined the Walled Lake Fire Department and was part of its first tactical dive team.

You learn quickly what it means to show up prepared, stay calm under pressure, and put people first when it counts.

Those lessons stayed with me.

Real estate may be a very different job, but the weight is the same. People are trusting you to help guide them through decisions that can affect their family, finances, and future for years.

That’s how I approach every client.

10 years ago, I helped Mike and Jennifer buy their South Lyon home.

When a new job meant relocating out of state, they called me again, this time to sell it.

Happy 18th Birthday, Khloe! ❤️🎂

Looking back at these pictures from the past year, it is pretty amazing to see how much can happen in just 12 months.

There have been volleyball matches, family moments, laughs, milestones, trips, celebrations and plenty of memories in between. Through all of it, we have loved watching you continue to grow into the young woman you are becoming.

You are strong, funny, competitive, caring and completely yourself, and we could not be more proud of you.

18 is a big one. A new chapter, more independence, more opportunities and plenty still ahead.

The Downs is bringing something new to downtown Northville.

On the former Northville Downs site, you’ll find new construction by Hunter Pasteur, along with parks, trails, and downtown just a short walk away.

I toured The Downs again recently, and what stands out is the range of homes taking shape: condos, townhomes, and single-family homes.

If you want newer construction without giving up the feel of downtown Northville, this is a community worth knowing about.

Eight years after John and I first sat down to talk about buying a home, he and Claudia now have the keys to their first home. 🏡

I first met John in 2018 when he was preparing to buy.

Then his job moved him out of Michigan, and the search was put on hold.

Earlier this year, he reached out again. He was relocating back to Michigan, now married to Claudia and settling into life with their baby daughter.

We planned their search around the move and toured homes in South Lyon, New Hudson, Lyon Township and Brighton. After comparing the resale market with new construction, they found the right fit in a new Pulte home at Aspen Ridge.

I have known John’s family for over 15 years and previously helped his parents and sister with their moves. Being trusted to help the next generation with this chapter means a great deal to me.

One important reminder for anyone considering new construction: contact your agent before visiting the model home. The builder’s sales team represents the builder, and registration policies can affect whether you can have your own representation.
