Diggin’ into the supertone synth engines and trying to squeeze out something other than dub. These Casio inspired tones definitely have a distinct vibe and writing chord progressions and basslines on a 3X4 grid is a great way to throw theory out the window… #housemusic #musicproducer #teenageengineering #electronicdancemusic #drummachine by @jekapeli

I’m devastated and I haven’t been in the mind frame to make a post about this but this picture, and this setting, Crotona Park Jam early 2000s, felt like the perfect context… RIP my true brother from another. They say your friends are the family you choose. Me and Steve chose each other a long time ago. And through the decades, 42 years to be exact, neither of us ever deviated from that pact. I’m blessed to have had you in my life this long…

Replaced the screen on my DP/4+ tonight with a beautiful amber on black OLED from @luxdisplays. The contrast was really starting to fade on the original and it was also really sluggish when cycling through presets. This new one is super snappy when scrolling and it looks gorgeous, the pics do it no justice. My hand accidentally brushed against the temperature dial of the soldering iron, raising the temp which almost caused me to pull a solder pad off the pcb while removing the old screen but I was able to finesse it, luckily 🙏🏼
