There's an upcoming vote on DHS funding in the senate. The house has already passed this bill, though some reps have publicly stated they regret voting for it. Republicans are starting to waver under the continued pressure of protests in Minnesota. Today I called my Senators to ask them to withhold additional funding until:
Operation metro surge (the occupation of Minneapolis) is ended
ICE agents are required to identify themselves, wear a standardized uniform, and no longer cover their faces
Those who have perpetrated violence against civilians have been held accountable.

It didn't take long to leave a message and I kept a note next to me so I wouldn't forget what to say. You can reach the switchboard to contact your senator at 202-224-3121. Even if you are in a Republican stronghold, call. by @jellymakesstuff

How many layers must one wear when marching against fascism and modern day slave catchers in -11 degrees? Great turnout at the Northfield march and wonderful to see all the businesses downtown that were closed in solidarity!

Glad to see such a great turn out at the rally today! But, I desperately wish it wasn't necessary. by @jellymakesstuff

In case I haven't been clear about where I stand politically... I live an easy drive from the Twin Cities and the only time I've ever been afraid to be there was after ICE came to town. by @jellymakesstuff

I've been regularly donating blood for 3 years and today I hit 2 gallons of blood donated! I got unexpectedly emotional about it, and I can't recommend donating enough! It's a quick, easy, and free way to give back. (And there are great snacks!) by @jellymakesstuff

A pocket full of apples, a handful of raspberries, and reading about @witches.of.scotland sitting feet away from my medicinal garden, which smells of roses and lavender. Who could ask for anything more? by @jellymakesstuff

Managed to get another blood donation in before the end of the year! If you are able, donating blood is an easy and effective way to help your community.

Jelly Makes Stuff deeply believes that abortion IS health care. This #givingtuesday we donated to @supportisnear. I currently live in a state where abortion care is protected, so I made sure to donate to an org in a state where abortion access is constantly being attacked. by @jellymakesstuff

Do my kids need new reversible trick or treat bags? No. But did I have some fabric left over from other projects? Yes. Do I wish I had enough fabric to make myself one? Also, yes.
No pattern, just worked something up.
