For the past few days, I've received a lot of kind messages, comments, and support. For that, thank you all. 🙏🏻

Thank you, @samuel_seow @beamsearch.sg for giving me this opportunity to share my story. It has been one of my aspirations in life to hopefully inspire people who are going through hard times, especially for young people with nobody to look up to, that think dreaming big is impossible because of their adversities in life.

I've childhood friends who gave up on their own life, or chose poor life choices because they didn't have hope or know of somebody that they could relate to. I hope my story will inspire someone out there, that life will be ok. We just have to be brave, dare to dream, and work hard. I still have lots to share with the world. And I am just one step closer.

The surprise cupcakes in Ibiza took me straight back to my 21st birthday, the cupcakes I still swear changed my life.

That night, I remember closing my eyes and making a few quiet wishes: that I wouldn’t have to struggle so hard financially, that I wouldn’t have to worry about food, and that I’d find and be surrounded by real friends and family, people who felt like home.

Back then, life was heavy. I was awkward, yes, but more than that…I was surviving. I was paying my own bills and pushing my way through private school because I refused to let go of my dream. I didn’t go out much not because I didn’t want to, but because I didn’t have the time or the extra money. When people invited me, I’d smile and wave it off, acting like I was fine. Keeping it all to myself. Wearing “I’m okay” like armor.

And then somehow slowly, quietly, everything began to change.

Standing here now, with the Mediterranean sea behind me, candles flickering in the wind, I feel that younger version of me so close. The one who was tired, hopeful, and still brave enough to wish for more.

Because today, I’m surrounded by love. By support. By protection. By the kind of friends and family I used to pray for.
