Lastly, I’m grateful for myself. I’ve worked so hard at this and I am deserving of now. I may not share a lot but I not only went to med school, I built a career, challenged myself, and opened up to so many new experiences.
I’m so proud of how far I’ve come, my resilience, growth and all the effort I put into becoming who I am today. I’m a rockstar for real! 🤘🏾

As for my convocation….that only just happened this year. After already becoming a licensed physician in Nigeria. 😂
I told you, the journey IS unconventional.
I wish I could have had all my family & friends there to celebrate with me because this is for them too! But I’m so grateful to the few people who were there to support me. Thank you!! 💛

I’m deeply blessed & I’m looking forward to everything still unfolding. This is just the beginning, and I know the future is going to be so good!

What a ride. And a time!

I graduated as a Doctor of Medicine officially in 2024 but this is now getting a spot on the feed. Finally!!! 😂

As with the many joys of being an international medical graduate, this journey has been unconventional to say the least.

It all started in 2016 on a beautiful, little island in the Caribbean called Dominica. I began what I would consider the adventure of a lifetime while pursuing my dream of becoming a medical doctor.

This experience is not one I can quite fit into a caption; I often talk with my friends about it and how nobody but us will really ever truly understand what this has been like. It’s been exhilarating, fun, challenging, scary, sad, wild, freeing, profound & unforgettable.

After all is said and done, I’m GRATEFUL.

I’m grateful to God for being God. For honoring his word over my life even when I did not know how, when, or what came next. He’s not only had a plan but taken care of my every single one of my needs, and made it all beautiful in it’s time.

I’m grateful to my parents for giving me one of the greatest gifts of my life. Because of them I get to be a doctor & also experience many beautiful things; living in, enjoying & exploring different cities along the way. They’ve supported every single dream of I’ve ever had while also being my emotional support, champions & covering. I look forward to giving them the life of their dreams too.
I’m also very grateful for my brothers. I simply couldn’t do without all three of them.

I’m grateful for my friends, without them the journey wouldn’t have been half as fun or as warm.
I’m grateful for family, every single person that has helped me, given me a home to stay in, supported me, and loved me through it all.
I’m grateful for ASUSM, all the opportunities it has provided me to learn, build skills & grow as a physician.
