🇲🇦 Whilst walking around the medina, It’s well worth visiting Ben Youssef Madrasa. It looks like there is a long queue but this is usually the tour groups collecting at the entrance.

Inside you will see what was once a stunning historic Islamic school known for its intricate mosaics and beautiful traditional Moroccan architecture. Once home to generations of students, this remarkable place remains a timeless symbol of Morocco’s cultural heritage.

🌿 Le Jardin Secret

This is a hidden oasis in the heart of Marrakech, featuring lush gardens, elegant fountains and traditional Islamic garden design. It really is a peaceful and much needed escape from the busy streets of the medina!

Why not treat yourself to lunch at Terrasse des épices after! It’s well worth it 🙌

⭐️Marrakech rooftop bars⭐️

There are so many rooftop bars that are hidden above the busy streets of Marrakech. They are a very welcome treat that’s for sure! 🙌

🍸Dardar - the food here was amazing! Great views and it also has an inside section. The DJ was great, service fantastic and the views at sunset are spectacular!

🍸Terrasse des épices - one of my favourites! It felt special and is a very popular place! Food was great as was the service. Loved the hats on the tables to shade from the sun!

🍸La fontaine des épices - set over three floors. Very near the Jardin Secret. It had a good feel to it, more relaxed. We went during the day, but at night it lights up!!

🍸Kabana - we went twice, during the day and at night! Fab cocktails which are created in house, great views and music and I especially loved the toilets!

🍸Nobu Rooftop - wow what an experience! Great entertainment and loved the views, but it’s very busy. I would recommend going there for a drink then eating in the restaurant downstairs, which is what we did.

🍸El Fenn - inside this hotel is a great rooftop bar. It also had a restaurant which looked amazing. Great bar and cocktails, again very busy at sunset hour but lovely staff and plenty of tables do become free.

And one non-rooftop bar…

🍸Les Jardin Du Lotus - very calm and peaceful and a great place to stop for a drink or a meal. There is a stunning bar here. Very pretty and great toilets!

An evening of drinks at the beautiful La Mamounia hotel followed by dinner at Koya 🍸🥢

La Mamounia is one of the world’s most iconic luxury hotels, gifted to Prince Moulay Mamoun as a wedding present in the 18th century. We had drinks at Le Bar Marjorelle where we enjoyed beautiful cocktails and live jazz.

We then walked to Koya Asian restaurant and had a fantastic dinner. The DJ was great and I loved the sax player! 🎷

There is so much choice in Marrakech depending on your mood which I love! 🙌

Marrakech is a city full of character 🇲🇦

From its vibrant colours (which I absolutely love), stunning architecture and rich culture to the bustling souks and winding streets of the Medina, which we got lost in on more than one occasion! 🤣

This day we walked around the Jewish quarter, visited the Bahia Palace and the historic ruins of El Badi Palace as well as the souks. If you were to choose one place…definitely opt for El Badi which is incredible! The Bahia Palace was very busy and somewhat underwhelming if I’m honest.

The streets are very busy and you will do well to stay clear of the constant stream of motorbikes! 🏍️ But above all of this craziness is the calm and serenity of the amazing rooftop bars and great places to eat. I will be letting you know where we went and giving you my recommendations later so watch this space! 🍸👀

Taking in the sunset, stunning views and cocktails in Greece! 🌅🍸

The Three Admirals Lounge at the Mandarin Oriental, Costa Navarino was one of my favourite places. It felt calm, serene and totally relaxing.

This is why I love what I do! More of this please! 🙏

The last few weeks have been a bit of a whirlwind, but now I’m home I can reflect on the best day I had in Costa Navarino celebrating my birthday!

Family, sunsets, boats, Japanese food…what more could a girl want! 🌅🍱🐠

It’s taken me almost two weeks to write this, I think because I’m still in shock.

Heartbreakingly, Zuma went to doggy heaven on 3rd September and we’re all completely devastated. He was only 7 😔

I’ve lost my companion…it was usually just me and him. Every walk I did was with him, everywhere I went he followed. I feel lost without him 💔

He was such an incredible dog. Playful, loving, caring, loyal and strong! He has given us so many wonderful memories and i’m certain he knew he was loved very much too.

He was part of our family and he will be hugely missed. I’m just so glad we all had the years we did with him ❤️ by @jemmachown

I love a boat day! 🌊⛵️

We used a company called NS Boats and I highly recommend them. They picked us up from the W Costa Navarino where we were staying and dropped us back in Pylos Marina where we had a gorgeous traditional Greek lunch.

We began our trip by heading to Voidokilia beach which is the most stunning horseshoe shaped beach located in Messina where we swam and snorkelled in the beautiful crystal water 🤿🐠

❗️FUN FACT❗️this is where the cyclops cave scene in The Odyssey was filmed! See my story….

We then went around Costa Navarino bay where we saw several historic war memorials which commemorate the 1827 battle of Navarino.

We also got to visit a cave and swim in a gorgeous cove only know to the locals which was stunning 😍

The whole trip was 4 hours and a real highlight of our holiday!
