Yamz, Costa Cashman, and Jemmadeit have officially joined forces for their new collaboration “Confident,” now available on YouTube and all streaming platforms. 🔥🎥 The release is another example of the growing connection between Filipino artists and producers in California and the Philippines, bringing together talent from both sides of the Pacific on one record. The collaboration goes beyond music as well, with the artists showcasing Sago Studio, the popular Asian-owned Bay Area streetwear brand, throughout the music video. It’s another example of the growing relationship between Filipino culture, music, and fashion. Representing Redwood City, California, Yamz is a Filipino rapper and one of the prominent members of the Paré Movement, a collective that has continued bringing Filipino artists together throughout California’s hip-hop scene. Through collaborations, cyphers, and community-driven projects, Yamz has helped push Filipino representation within West Coast hip-hop. Jemmadeit, representing Modesto, California, is a Filipino producer who has worked behind the scenes on numerous records, including several popular songs from Stockton artists MBNel and JoeMari. His production has helped connect different corners of California’s Filipino music scene while contributing to the sound of some of the region’s biggest artists. On the other side of the collaboration is Costa Cashman, one of the Philippines’ most recognizable rising rap artists and a member of the popular group O SIDE MAFIA. Costa has continued building an international audience through millions of streams and views, helping bring the sound of Filipino hip-hop to listeners around the world.
