Days before a solo performance at Carnegie Hall, world-renowned pianist Mia Nox suffers a spine-shattering accident. Without the ability to press the pedals and in the care of her increasingly duplicitous boyfriend, Mia’s wounds begin to creep more than skin-deep as she is forced to endure a waking nightmare - one in which she must learn to embrace her shadow to press the pedals again.

Noxturne, directed by @kristinaklebe for which I served as Cinematographer, is having its world premiere at the Big Apple Film Festival May 14th at 5PM. @bigapplefilmfestival

Tickets can be purchased at Big Apple Film Festivals website

There is only one screening and I will be in attendance. I hope to see you there!

Concert pianist Mia Nox is famous for wooing audiences with her renditions of Chopin’s Nocturnes, but with a brazen, new lover by her side she dreams more than ever of reinventing herself. Just a week away from a solo performance at Carnegie Hall though, Mia’s dream is interrupted when a freak accident causes her thoracic spine to shatter. Suddenly, she is left unable to press the pedals and finds herself in the care of a man a decade her junior–whose motives grow suspicious as time…ticks…on; he books a coveted audition at Lincoln Center, signs with her manager, and is seen dallying with another woman. Desperately waiting to regain feeling in her legs, Mia’s physical wounds begin to creep more than skin-deep as she questions whether the man she loved is slowly taking everything that once was hers. NOXTURNE is a fairytale-like journey that will leave you wondering, throughout, “what’s next,” a story about embracing one’s shadow self, and a film that shows healing is never an easy ride. by @jendradp
