My heart is so full 💛 I’m incredibly grateful to all of my family and friends who traveled all the way to Saint-Tropez to celebrate with me. The weather was beautiful and there was so much laughter, joy and magic ✨ Ringing in 50 was truly a dream. taken in St Tropez by @jenevabell

As I get ready to celebrate my 50th birthday in a place that I love with the people I love, I’ve been reflecting on my 40th birthday and a lesson that changed my life: the power of joy.

Not as something waiting for us at the finish line, but as something available to us right now.

I wrote all about the power of joy in my Substack. Link in bio. 🤍 by @jenevabell

Throwback to when Sandy let me sit in her executive chair one day when I was her product development & marketing assistant — how lucky was I that she took me under her wing and became a lifelong friend!

From creating Trucco Cosmetics for Sebastian International, to helping build and scale iconic brands like Fenty Beauty and True Botanicals, her career has been nothing short of fierce and inspiring.

Congratulations on your retirement Sandy! I love you so much.

Swipe for the biggest lessons she taught me early on in my career. ➡️ I can’t wait for you to read more about her in my upcoming memoir. Stay tuned! by @jenevabell

For me, spring cleaning means clearing everything. My space, my routines, even apps on my phone and computer files. Getting fresh air, playing high vibrational music, being around my animals and those that lift my spirits, taking salt baths. Creating room to think clearly again.

When things feel cluttered around me, they feel cluttered within me too. And when I feel stuck, the answer isn’t to push forward, it’s to pause.

Clean it out. Finish what you started. Reset your space.

From there, everything flows better. by @jenevabell

When I was in my late 20s, this book changed everything. I was stuck because I didn’t know what I was meant to do in my life. I didn’t have a standout talent or a burning passion. I was lost because I was looking outside myself for the answer.

The Passion Test™ by Janet Bray Attwood & Chris Attwood is a series of exercises to complete. Don’t try to finish any of them in one sitting. It can take a few days for little things to start bubbling up from within, like random ideas, curiosities, and hints from your own soul. Be sure to jot them down in the moment before you get distracted and forget.

I still have the book, full of messy handwritten notes. Flipping through it now, I’m in awe of how much it shifted my path, and how my life today reflects everything that truly matters to me.

I highly recommend it, at any age or crossroad in life. by @jenevabell

Trip to Oaxaca, Mexico with some of our @ruggable textile designers to learn from la maestra Veronica @textiles.manosmagicas.mmtz I’m dreaming of all the natural colors from flowers, plants - and my favorite burgundy red - from dead bugs 🐜 It was a masterclass in hard work, conscientiousness and tradition. We are returning full of inspiration, mole and mezcal 🌵 taken in Centro histórico de Oaxaca de Juárez by @jenevabell

Jonathan Adler and his playful brilliance at work. His advice to “say yes” reminds me of a good book I read called The Surrender Experiment. It’s not about doing things you don’t want to do, it’s about getting out of our own way. If we stop trying to control everything, we signal to a greater power that we are open to receive and will curiously explore things we never thought of before. Then, the universe is like, finally, someone is willing to work with me, and it goes to work reorganizing and bringing about more and more opportunities ✨✨✨ thank you @jonathanadler 🙏🙏🙏 by @jenevabell
