A very happy 18th birthday to my son!! ❤️🎂

He does things on HIS schedule. He decided 32 weeks gestation was plenty of time and made his grand entrance and was completely fine, not even needing an incubator. Meanwhile, I was hemorrhaging out and being rushed into the OR. Apparently, one of us had to keep calm that day, and it wasn’t me. 😂

The Tone Was Set!

He was an easy baby, an easy toddler, easy kid, and somehow even an easy teen. I spent those teen years holding my breath, waiting for the shoe to drop. I kept thinking: Surely my time is coming. But no. He’s had to wait for me to come back from deployments and training, sat by through injuries, major surgeries, and recovery. Move after move, and he has always been steady, kind, funny, independent, and easy to love.

Watching your kid grow up is such a strange thing. The years feel long while you’re living them, and then you turn around and that kid is an adult. I’m not sure how we got here so quickly.

I’m incredibly proud of who he has become, and even more grateful for the privilege of being his mom throughout every version of him and the future versions to come!

Happy 18th birthday, kiddo. ❤️

Good Morning, Friends! 🍂🕯️

It’s been a while! First, I want to thank you for being understanding of my sporadic summer schedule. I spent the summer completing two Anatomy courses simultaneously, and they were the most challenging classes I’ve taken by far. It required my full attention, which meant stepping away from Foxglow a little more than usual.

But now… I have some exciting news. 🖤

Starting tomorrow, I’ll begin unveiling pieces from my Fall/Halloween collection: The Hollow Lantern. This collection will debut on September 4th on my shop website and Etsy!

Inspired by ancestral traditions, ghost stories, dark academia, and the haunting beauty of Samhain, The Hollow Lantern is a collection of one-of-a-kind designs created to feel like treasured talismans and charms.

Tarnished metals, gemstones, mystical details, and autumnal textures tell stories of spectral forests, lantern-lit paths, forgotten libraries, wandering spirits, and the stillness of late October.

For those drawn to the liminal, the mystical, and the beautifully haunted. 🕯️🍂

Anatomy and Physiology 1 & 2 completed! It was a painful summer semester but it’s finished. Finals for A&P 1 was Muscle Tissue/Structure, Insertion, Origin, and innervation, and Peripheral Nervous Tissue and Spinal Cord. A&P 2 was Heart and it’s Conduction, Circulatory System (knowing all the veins and arteries in the body), and Lymph Fluid, Nodes, Primary and Secondary Organs, Innate and Specific Immunity-plus comprehensive exam of everything we learned through the Semester. One more class to complete for Fall (A & P 3). Then hopefully Paramedic school 🤞 taken in Portland, Oregon by @jenfrwong

Super busy week…heart dissection, blood typing, and muscles. Erik left back to Texas. Oh, and 4 exams (2 lecture and 2 labs) completed. Just a few more weeks and this semester is done.🤯 taken in Portland, Oregon by @jenfrwong
