Recently enjoyed a Family Reunion at Pipestem State Park in West Virginia. We missed our son, Jesse, but had the added bonus of my sister, @wilmalammmessenger & brother-in-law. Even got to make a side trip to Bluefield, WV which brought back mostly fond memories.

“All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players.” My most important role to play, that of “Mom,” began 35 years ago. I feel rather retired from that but as of a year ago, began playing a new and immensely fun role: “Grandma Jeni.” I pray I get to play “GJ” for a good many more years!

There was more surrealism in this past weekend than just the art I saw at the Frist Art Museum in Nashville. I attended my 50th High School Reunion. (John Overton HS) it was weird to think that I knew these people and experienced a lot of life with them but now have only vague memories of them. It was nice to reconnect though if only briefly. by @jeni_lamm

This is as close as I’ve come to having my picture made with Dolly. What a large personality in such a small body! Yesterday was a strange day. It was a happy day as it was my youngest son’s birthday but it was a very sad day, as well. I received news of a friend’s passing in the night… Windie Wilson lived a very impactful life in Knoxville and will be dearly missed by all who knew her. And then, there’s Dolly with worldwide renown. Heaven is brighter; My/our world is darker.

I used to love taking my 3 boys to the zoo. Well, except they made you exit through the Gift Shop! $$ 😵‍💫 First trip to the National Zoo in DC with my granddaughter and middle son was a blast!
