If you’re planning an event in Austin, @boujeebebidas is one of the easiest recommendations I’ll ever make!

The cocktails were incredible, of course! But what really stood out were the thoughtful details:

• The custom gingham linen bar menu that perfectly matched the party
• The cocktail stirrers featuring the birthday boy’s face
• The themed cocktail names that tied everything together

We transformed the inside and outside of the home into Saint’s Golden Farmstead, complete with his very own farmers market 🍅🌾🍓🐄🚜🥕

A few things this party confirmed for me:

🤎 Hosting in your own space can save thousands.

🤎 Rearranging and/or removing furniture creates more usable space and can completely change the flow of a party.

🤎 Working with existing features and landscaping can eliminate unnecessary rentals. Instead of bringing in a mobile flower cart, we turned what was already there into the Bloom Bar, where guests could create and take home their own flower bouquets.

🤎 Make your decor work double duty as an activity and a party favor. Like the Bloom Bar, the “Adopt a Farm Animal” wall added to the main backdrop and statement decor, gave the kiddos something interactive to do, and sent each child home with a stuffed animal.

🤎 Another aesthetic and cost-saving tip is to skip the giant (and often hideous 👀) event tent when the space and weather allow it. Tables with market umbrellas look better, photograph beautifully, and make the setup feel more elevated. That decision alone saved over $1,500.

Your friendly reminder you do NOT have to spend $20,000 to give your kid a birthday party they will never forget 💯

You also don’t have to spend 10+ hours planning it yourself 🫪

Outsource. Outsource. Outsource!!!

For this party, my client didn’t have time to do much more than tell me what her daughter wanted: purple everything, bows, spa activities, and a movie night. And we only had two weeks to pull it all together!!

She also was not looking to spend thousands and thousands of dollars on a full-service event when she knew she could bring the party to life DIY-style with help from friends and family. She just needed a clear vision and a plan to follow. ✨

I took her budget and ideas, created the custom invitations and signage, put together the mood board, curated the full shopping cart, and placed the actual items into a mockup of the room where the party would be held. That way, she could see exactly how everything would work together and knew where everything needed to go when it was time to set up.

Because let’s be honest, when you are planning and shopping for it yourself, everything starts looking “so cute!!!” Then suddenly, you are three hours deep comparing napkins, buying random things for the dopamine hit, and spending money on details that do not actually matter…. Wasting time AND money!

That is where JOAT comes in to save the day 💃🏽

An oldie, but such a goodie! 🪩👰🏼‍♀️💍

This bridal shower was from 2022, and it is still one of my favorite events I’ve ever been part of bringing to life.

I was given almost zero direction, just the assignment: make it fun, unique, and memorable.

So I pulled together the vision, color palette, inspo photos, overall concept, and the details I wanted to see come to life. Then I sent it all over to @austin_moments_balloons , who took the inspiration and absolutely nailed the execution.

And I mean nailed it. 🙈

This is such a big part of what I love doing: dreaming up the concept, finding the right people, and knowing which vendors can actually bring the vision to life beautifully.

@austin_moments_balloons has been one of those vendors for me. Someone I’ve hired for my own events, recommended to others, and am working with again soon 😉

And because no event is complete without a little chaos, the original venue fell through the week of, so there was also a very fast pivot to find the perfect location with basically no notice. Somehow, it ended up being exactly what the event needed.

I love creating events that feel personal, thoughtful, and a little unexpected. The kind of details people remember long after the party is over. 🤪

I had the pleasure of working with @thepartyguy.tx to help bring a surprise 40th birthday celebration to life for a client at @sugarcreekcountryclub

My client gave me the budget and the theme: 80s. From there, we ran with it. From ideas and inspiration to vendor coordination, setup direction, and every little detail in between, this event came together beautifully thanks to an incredible team of vendors who helped make the day happen.

The events’ coordinator at @sugarcreekcountryclub even shared that this was their biggest event to date outside of weddings, which made it even more special to be part of!

And now @thepartyguy.tx is officially one of the people they call for future setups 👏🎉
