In 2016, Sirius Radio offered fans the chance to meet Dolly. We were lucky to be chosen. The group was a small one, there were only 30 people who won this opportunity that day. Growing up in NE MI, I was a fan of Dolly Parton. I saw her in concert for the first time in 1989 with my friend Brad.

Through the years, Steve and I were lucky to see Dolly in concert a few times, every show better than the last. But when we got to meet her, she was kind, generous and candid. We got to spend 90 minutes in the Dreamsong Theater at Dollywood as Andy Cohen interviewed her about her life.

Dolly leaves behind a legacy of love, including the Imagination Library. When the Gatlinburg fires hit, the Dollywood Foundation raised $12.5 million dollars to help the victims of the fire. When COVID hit, Dolly Parton donated $1 million dollars to Vanderbilt to help fund the Moderna vaccine. Her businesses will live on and remind us all of the joy she brought us. I know I’ll be back at Dollywood as soon as it’s possible. WSM Radio is doing a tribute for her today. ❤️ We will always love you Dolly. Thank you. 🕊️

Tonight we had the pleasure of meeting @debhaalandnm! She recently published her memoir and was the first Native American Secretary of the Interior of our beautiful country.
