Scoop is in her second semester of advanced training. She’s learning to pick up an item off the floor and bring it to her trainer. To TUG and open a cabinet and COVER to apply deep pressure across someone’s lap. And more! She’s come a long ways from her days of stubbornness. #dogtraining #caninecompanions #futureservicedog by @jeniontheblock

Scoop update! She’s doing great in professional training - AND she will be on the @cbseveningnews tonight! They are airing a piece about her time in the @canineorg puppy prison program. Thank you @max.darrow for producing a very thoughtful piece on rehabilitation and the power of these dogs.

Walked 2 miles up and down the beach - just 6 weeks after having a double lung transplant! The doctors want Chris to use his new lungs to the fullest, which will help increase their capacity. Really proud of his progress!

Look who’s out of the hospital and breathing with his NEW LUNGS! Chris had his double lung transplant surgery Father’s Day night and after a total of 55 days in the hospital - is out and taking deep breaths of California air.

🏥 The UCSF lung transplant team is second to none. Their dedication to the highest standards, along with their constant, clear communication and compassion gave us confidence that Chris was in the best possible place, no matter the obstacles we encountered.

❤️ We are forever indebted to the donor and their family. The gratitude from both of us - to whatever universe made these stars align - has been overwhelming at times. We have experienced some pretty low lows on this journey - and for Chris to be given a second chance at a new life is the greatest gift ever. Please consider being an organ donor and giving someone else a second chance.

SCOOP Pupdate! She’s learning a lot in professional training like how to hold objects and push doors closed. Keep working hard, Scoop! Can you tell which one is our pint size pup? 😊

We are so proud of Scoop and all her siblings!
