I need help. Our Pinellas County libraries are in DANGER of closing!!!

There’s a bill in the next local election, Amendment 3, that (((sounds))) like it will reduce our property tax easy peasy. But nothing is easy, especially not with local government. DID YOU KNOW… in addition to many other important things in our community, our property taxes fund our library system!!!

If you vote YES to this bill, libraries in our county will IMMEDIATELY close.

Did you know there’s not just books at the library?

* Free computer access and wifi and printers for people looking for jobs.

* Free computers for kids’ homework.

* Classes about understanding technology, or learning to speak other languages, classes about medical terms.

* STEM CLASSES FOR KIDS. FOR FREE!!!!

* You can borrow UKULELES! Garden TOOLS, Bike Locks, Puzzles, Board Games, even baking pans! (Who even NEEDS their own bundt pan?!?!)

* If your AC breaks (which always happens in the Summer) there’s A/C.

And most importantly, a SAFE place, especially for children, tweens and teens to go.

Bills are written tricky on PURPOSE to confuse people. But free money is never free. Please VOTE NO on Amendment 3 this Election!!

Amendment 3 adjusts the property tax exemption. It doesn’t adjust what that exemption pays for. The cost of public safety, road repair, and emergency response doesn’t disappear. It just stops being funded!!!

When life is completely (!!!) overwhelming, 😳 and you want so badly to make your house cute, it’s time to go to town and decorate early! 🎃

Ollie organized the “stage” (all the books and toys) and I did the mantle to surprise him. (But he hopped out of bed and ruined my suprise! Lol) 👻 (he sounds soooo cute at the end!!) ☺️

I feel SUCH joy looking at all the little details. 😍 It’s the little things. That’s what life is. Enjoy any tiny moment you can, friends. You deserve to. ❤️ by @jenipherlyn

Okay.... The amount of people I’ve seen write CRUEL, un-empathetic, victim blaming comments and posts online in the last few days has been… 😳 so so disheartening.

Every time I feel like we’ve hit rock bottom as a community of humans, we go lower.

OUR JOBS as parents of small kiddos is to raise kind, loving, understanding humans. To create the next generation of loving, brave, wonderful humans.

To teach them that we only have one planet (which is dying), to be kind of everyone, animals, humans, everyone. We need to teach each our kids that KINDNESS matters. Community matters.

It’s so scary to me… the amount of parents of small kiddos who are heartless. I don’t understand.

We loveeeeeeeeee Halloween books in this house! (Not super scary plz!!) Here are some we have been reading non-stop, and a couple new ones I’ve just been sent!!

Thank you to @pubspotlight for sending us the zombie book! The cover is so funny! @barefootbooks and Grimm Falls from @flowerpotpress !

Congrats to @charlottelovely and @jdforester, the first time I read “I love you Boo”to my son I cried. lol just a little at the Hershey kids page. 🥲

Bird Anatomy is finally out!! Hooray! 🎉

@juliarothman and @michaelhearst’s new book is beautiful and funny and informative and is not ONLY for bird lovers!!

These (anatomy) books are so educational, but also so colorful and visually stimulating that almost any kiddo (or grown up 👧 !) will adore them!

This time a poster set AND sticker book were also released which are sooooo pretty!!

This sticker page also comes as a #rainbow print, too!

🛑 Now more than ever, it is our PARENTAL DUTY to raise our kids to not only be kind, respectful, understanding, loving human beings, but to ALSO understand the impacts of their choices, to make smart decisions, to teach them to stand up for themselves and others. To be kind and loving to the planet and to not let people make choices FOR US that aren’t in the best interest of our communities. 🌲☀️💦🌈☺️

These are some of my favorite books that help lead us to grow together and have hard and important conversations.

I am in LOVE 🥰 with this new book by @suzyultman and @amanda.leigh.kingloff, @theartofjewishjoy!!

It’s so beautiful! it feels like a party in a book! 🎉

I love the mixture of colors and drawings and font sizes and imagery. (A DREAM for this ADHD gal!)

And as someone who didn’t grow up learning about my Jewish culture, it breaks down everything so easily and understandable!

My 8 year old son and I can’t WAIT to do a bunch of the crafts in the book! 🎉
