Castle Peak Loop. Stunning views every step of the way. This hike quickly climbed into my top hikes in the Tahoe Basin. To get to the top of the summit block in the first picture there is a bit of a vertical scramble with some exposure. I’d definitely recommend it if you’re up to it, the 360 views are incredible from the top. I’ll be coming back just for the scramble. It’s about 5 minutes from a paddle Donner Lake, which is just about the best combination you can get for a weekend trip. taken in Castle Peak by @jenitavaa

In a blink of an eye, another summer is gone. A summer filled with travel, treks, and laughter with new friends. I said I was going to be better about posting my travels this year. But, similar to my time abroad, the memories piled up as high as the mountains I’ve climbed, and the months quickly went by. I’m left wondering “ Where do I even start now?” So I’ll start here. The epitome of my summer. Just a girl, trying to become one with a mountain.
@gtr_mike I will always be awestruck by your work. Thank you for all the stunning shots. taken in Dingleberry Lake by @jenitavaa

Only in Tahoe can people ski, paddle board, swim, and sunbathe on warm sunny beach in the same day. 🏔️🫶 It’s a beautiful life. taken in South Lake Tahoe, California by @jenitavaa

Freel Peak 10,881ft. My first proper peak at altitude, and the tallest peak in the Tahoe Basin. I never thought I’d find something I was so passionate over in life. It’s a dream come true, and the start of something great, and now my Roman Empire. First one down, many more to go.🏔️ taken in South Lake Tahoe, California by @jenitavaa
