Some days it really do be like this though 🥲 by @jenkatryn

Some things I’ve learned the hard way, some things I’m still learning 🦋

But I think I’ve come to realise that a lot of building a life you genuinely love is less about having everything figured out + more about being willing to listen to yourself.

Changing your mind.
Changing direction.
Wanting something different.
Letting go of things that no longer fit.

None of that means you’ve failed. Sometimes it just means you’re growing 🫶🏼 #lifelessons #businesslessons by @jenkatryn

Some purchases are an investment. Some are just marketing with really good lighting 🥲 #makeupartist by @jenkatryn

A quieter season in your makeup business doesn’t have to mean standing still 💫

Use this time to refine your portfolio, strengthen your booking process & put a few things in place that will support your business long after busy season.

A little intentional work now can make a big difference later 🪐 #makeupartist #bridalmakeupartist #makeupeducation by @jenkatryn

30 days. 30 small resets. Hopefully a lot less mental clutter by the end ✨

Disclaimer: No becoming a completely different person required. Just small things that make your life feel a little lighter, clearer + more under control 💫

The early days when you’re starting out as a makeup artist can be… humbling 🥲

Quiet diary, unanswered enquiries, questionable views + a portfolio you’re desperately trying to build.

It’s not embarrassing. It’s just the beginning ✨💫 #beginnermakeupartist #makeupartist by @jenkatryn

What a rich life looks like as a makeup artist in my eyes 💫 #makeupartist by @jenkatryn

This one never fails me. Super easy and quick last minute Halloween makeup 🖤💀 by @jenkatryn

If your makeup bookings are looking a little quieter after wedding season, this is exactly what I’d be focusing on right now.

Not just posting more + hoping the bookings come in, but actually looking at the business behind the bookings.

Your makeup portfolio. Your booking process. Your content. Your industry relationships. Your numbers.

If you’re a makeup artist trying to get more clients, the quieter months can actually be a really useful time to look at what’s working, strengthen your makeup business + make sure you’re set up for the next busy season.

Sometimes it’s not about doing more. It’s about making sure the things you’re already doing are actually helping you attract the right makeup clients 🖤✨ #makeupartist #bridalmakeupartist by @jenkatryn
