At Aptive, our mission is to make a positive impact and enrich the lives of those around us, giving back to our local and global communities. Every home enjoyed. We’re proud to share that our humanitarian efforts in Ecuador will enable hundreds of children to access higher education and gain the courage and confidence to face the ever-changing world, to step out into the wild. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to this and our past five trips to the incredible communities near Otavalo and the El Saminay El Legado school. Working alongside @eaglecondorhumanitarian and their dedicated team has been an absolute blessing. It truly takes a village and the job is still not finished.

Last week I had the opportunity to go to Ecuador with our Aptive Gives Back team. We worked on improving elementary schools for the children of Ecuador. I love this trip and am grateful for the opportunity to help organize and work with so many to make this happen. Bonus this year was my mother in law joined us! 🇪🇨🫶🏼 by @jenlegas

Half way and in Chile! Countdown is on💛 after 8 months in Birmingham AL mission, Mia made it to Antofagasta Chile. She has been there a few weeks now and is doing well. She is excited to learn more Spanish, loves Jesus and still working hard. Love this girl and I am already counting down to November! by @jenlegas

Today I will leave a piece of my heart at Vivint. After 8.5 yrs., 800k additional square feet, dozens of moves, leaks, new builds, fire, furniture orders, Vivint gives back events, collaborations and most important, some of the best people I have ever known!
Thank you Vivint.
My kids have been raised with this company as part of my life, our lives. I am grateful for the opportunity I had to grow and learn and do what I love! by @jenlegas

Insta/FB just seems like the easiest place to do this so, here is a Gunnar update:
We suspected Gunnar still had cancer because his thyroglobulin has been going up slowly these last 8 months (since last radiation and surgery) our suspicions were confirmed in the last few weeks with a chest/lung and neck CT scans.
Today he had surgery at Huntsman’s to remove cancer in upper chest and right neck, two new incisions. Happy to report the surgery went well- His Dr was able to get everywhere he wanted (had some concern because of tricky location in chest and scar tissue). His amazing surgeon, Dr Hunt, feels he got the cancerous lymph nodes and thinks surgery went well.
As his mom, I feel overwhelmingly grateful for this sweet kiddo and that I get to be his mom. He has not complained once this past year about this trial. He was smiling and playing music at 5 am today as we made our way to Huntsman’s. He has such a deep love for his Heavenly Father and never doubts. His spirit is unique and beautiful. He loves freely and knows life itself is a gift. Love you my sweet Gunnarboy. taken in Huntsman Cancer Institute by @jenlegas
