I woke up one morning a few months ago and messaged Amanda and said “I have a crazy idea” and she responded “Tell me more” and she somehow agreed to my crazy plan and we asked Karissa and Julia to join us and before long we had a relay team for the Maine Marathon 😂.

Today I took on my leg of the Maine Marathon Relay, and for the first 4 miles, I felt strong and really good. Then mile 5 showed up… and let’s just say it got a little harder. 😬 But I kept moving, kept putting one foot in front of the other, and finished my leg. And honestly, the best part wasn’t a pace or a finish time. It was just knowing you have the support of women who want you to do your best and succeed in your own way. Four women, four different races, four different paces, and four individual goals — but one team. We each ran our own race, supported each other, cheered for each other, and ultimately crossed the finish line together. On a beautiful Maine fall day with absolutely perfect running weather, we got to do something pretty special!

I feel very blessed that my body was able to push through and carry me for those miles - And that I have people around me who support me from both near and far - both my teammates and then the number of messages of support I got, and my mom and stepdad and Jess who showed up at the finish line!

Wyoming -> Montana -> Idaho -> Utah
After Yellowstone we spent some time in Montana exploring and then went through Idaho! Stopped at Lava Hot Springs to unwind after a long trip and before heading back to Park City. We also spent time exploring the mountains of Salt Lake like Solitude and Deadman’s Pass, went swimming in a natural spring crater, and even caught part 2 of a movie we watched together 28 years ago! Amazing trip from start to finish filled with lots of miles, mountains, memories, and adventure with @sarahpcmom. Tired, but my heart is FULL ❤️ taken in Utah by @jenn_mn

America’s first National Park!!! Yellowstone was amazing and full of unexpected forestry, we both expected more flatlands! We explored geysers, waterfalls, colorful hot springs, and loved everything that we saw. We both agreed that each stop at Yellowstone had its own unique part about it we liked. We also logged 20k steps here so you are moving around a LOT and there’s a ton to see!

We saw lots of wildlife! Bison, elk, and plenty of unexpected sightings and yes we stayed away the zoom on my camera works just fine. 😂

We loved this park! Also, the parks are busy but not packed like social media wants to make it (see my picture - no one in line to get into Yellowstone at 8am!) As a matter of fact, the ONLY line we were caught in this entire week between both parks, were lines of traffic for wildlife sightings in Yellowstone. If it is something you’ve been thinking about, TAKE THE TRIP! I just spent some pretty incredible days out West with my childhood best friend, who I’m lucky enough to still call one of my favorite people all these years later. We hit the road from Utah and headed to the Grand Tetons and Jackson, Wyoming, and honestly… I don’t think I could have asked for a better adventure.

We explored Jackson, hiked for days, found the most beautiful overlooks, and got up early for sunrises and stayed out for sunsets. We packed a lot into those days, but somehow it never felt like we were rushing. Hiking through Hidden Falls, Inspiration Point, and Cascade Canyon took all day and was exhausting, but it was so worth it.

We hiked and explored a lot more and I went out into the middle of String Lake by myself, surrounded by the Tetons. Just out there in the cold water, looking up, with absolutely nothing around me but mountains. It was one of those peaceful moments where you don’t need to think about anything or be anywhere but right in that moment. I don’t think I realized how much I needed a change of scenery, a little adventure, a good friend, and a few days where the only thing on the agenda is peace.

I genuinely love that I’m still out here doing this — hiking, exploring, swimming in mountain lakes, watching sunrises, chasing sunsets, and making memories with people I’ve known almost my entire life. I feel incredibly lucky. Not because everything is perfect, but because I get to experience moments like these with @sarahpcmom and laugh like we are little kids all over again and reminisce on days where we had no responsibilities. We reflected back to middle school, high school, college days staying in touch, and living together on C St. in Portland. I feel incredibly blessed to have this friendship 💕 and make more memories together!

My best friend knew I wanted to explore Acadia National Park, so for my birthday this year she gifted me with a weekend away and planned EVERY. SINGLE. DETAIL. She knew exactly what I wanted to see, where we needed to go, and somehow made the whole weekend feel effortless. She even fought for and got those 4:30am tickets to Cadillac Mountain for sunrise that sell out in 10 seconds or less!! I know she is not a morning person (unless it’s for a flight, a baby being born, or her best friend! 😂) yet that alarm went off at 3:55am and we were out the door! I’m so grateful for a friendship that enjoys taking adventures with me, continues to make memories to last a lifetime, and knows me so well. Thank you for booking the cutest cottage in all of Bar Harbor and for a wonderful weekend away @jesfairclough - and for thinking of every small detail, including liquid IV and my favorite snacks 🥰 This new decade is starting out amazing! taken in Acadia National Park by @jenn_mn

A perfect day in North Conway! Today, I pulled 205 lbs for 2 reps for the first time since my shoulder surgery. It took me a year and a half to get here and believe me when I tell you, the patience I have had to endure knowing what I was capable of prior to surgery but not able to do anymore was brutal. It felt so good that I immediately made what some would call a questionable decision and loaded up to 215. Turns out it was a great decision! Felt strong 💪🏼

It’s one of my oldest, dearest, and bestest friends birthdays today!!! I cannot wait for less than 2 months for our next adventure!
